The final stop of the hobie bass open series took us to the Coosa river chain, and I ended up fishing Lake Weiss. Largemouth bass and big spots were the ticket here. These fish were in the beginning stages of that fall transition, and I was able to find a solid pattern.. with a few hiccups ;) ENJOY!!

Here are some of the baits that worked well for me!

This is my first time finding your vids...I love this! You are all natural and no BS like the so called "Professional" fishers. I enjoy this! Thanks for posting and yeah, I subscribed. Also, you're on my "Home Lake" I've fished Weiss since it was built!

We could all learn from her. She accepts her faults and learns from them with a positive mind set. She is learning to fish off of instinct and really trying to read the fish instead of being hard headed and saying “they just gotta eat this particular bait”. She’s not afraid to put her bait in tough spots. I’m not trying to brown nose or anything, but I’ve learned a lot from her vids.

I really enjoy your videos but more importantly you make me think. Have a been lazy going into a day of fishing? You bet. Have I missed fish b/c of that most likely. I've seen you change your game plan before and regretted it. What will you do to help yourself stay with your plan or at least make a confident decision to change it?

Always impressed at how you better anglers prepare (even though you said you were lazy this time lol) and break down waters pre-tourney. You mentioned some people better than others regarding fishing (tournament) etiquette. Among you elite anglers, what are your do’s and don’ts regarding that? Might be a good topic to explore and offer some of your (and maybe others) thoughts. Love the vids, keep ‘em coming!

It's crazy how a different approach can work. A buddy of mine fished a much smaller tournament in Wisconsin. We both started in one area i had found. Long story short he bailed an hour in I stayed almost all day. I won the tournament he took last. I let the fish tell me the bite he stubbornly stayed with one approach. I've made his mistake before and will again, its tough when prefishing or experience tells you the wrong approach for that day.

Love your recaps because you really walk us through your game plan, what worked, what didn’t, and I’m going to add a mini crank bait to my box! 👍🏼 Also, just curious how far back you keep your chair reclined?? Obviously you have to allow room for that full-throttle hook set! Love it! 👊🏼❤️

Nice. Just some constructive criticism though, just one man’s opinion... but I think voicing over the footage might make for a bit better video. The recap videos with the prologue and the long cutaways, I think takes away from the flow of the video. Just a suggestion.

Fishing is a lot like golf. I played a course where there was a hole with a canal crossing it. No matter how hard I tried not to, I would put my ball in the canal. I would try and lay up or blast over it and every time my ball would find the water. One day out of pure frustration I brought a baseball bat and hit the ball over for the first time ever. Fishing and golf are 90% mental and if the mental game is winning, take out the one thing you would never try and amaze yourself. Always remember, God has a sense of humor and He tests us until we laugh along with Him! Peace

Story: back in early 1950's there was a guy who bragged about the bass he caught out of CoosaRiver down by where we lived in Wetumpka,Al near Jordan Lake...... Dad offered him $2 per pound for anything over 20 pounds.....couple weeks later he flopped a 25 pounder out in our driveway....my Mom was mad at Dad for weeks ..... yup....true story and we have a picture
