You should’ve checked the battery on the challenger. If it doesn’t have enough battery voltage/charge it will not let the transmission shift at all and it will click like that. I hope you buy that challenger. You could make a fortune even parting it out.

DUDE ive been looking everywhere for that challenger. I actually know the story on it, you can pm me if u want more info, but the jist of it is that it was a Test vehicle for Chrysler and was never given a VIN like a normal car since it would never be on the roads. It was being transported to Oklahoma and when they were driving it into the warehouse the cars computer had an issue and smoked some wires disabling the fuel pump, starter, etc. They did not repair it as it was just a test vehicle and wouldnt be used anymore anyways, and they had to write it down as a junk title because a VIN doesnt exist on that car, if you look by dash where VIN usually is theres nothing there, see for yourself. And in this case it has to be sold as junk and will never be able to get a title, its a mud toy at this point. I have pictures to prove this. Im not blowing smoke here.

I really want to know what happened to the challenger and why it got a junk title. I am very intrigued. Even if the engine hydrolocked, replacing the engine would not cost enough to junk. You should have got down and looked at the underbody to see if there's anything weird. One possibility - a long shot - is that it had previously been in an accident and repaired once, and now the 2nd time the insurance company said nope, sorry. Can you pull a carfax on it?

@Auto Auction Rebuilds - sorry to see the MB turned into a 'foodstamp' car. The Tesla walk through - nice, unfortunately not going to 'save the world' regarding energy. The 'little old lady's car' would be a nice flip but sounds like prices are going through a 'seasonal' adjustment for taxes - in which case it may be too high to flip for a decent profit. It is a good thing you like the scent of 'old lady' as with your coming wedding will also have the opportunity once 'old' hits to enjoy on a daily basis. Congratulations! Thank you. I enjoy strolling through memory lane. Spent some time helping a friend in his yard. His fork truck didn't have the safety beeping but was huge. He had a couple of lifts he never got around to putting in so used that monster. And you are so right, 'slighting' a title, at least in my state, can land you in the pokey and not good for future business. I enjoy your walk through videos along with your entertaining banter. Thank you.
