It’s 2:30 in the morning. I’m on Vancouver Island and I’m in day seven of a COPD exacerbation. This video has been so helpful. Thank you so much brian for bringing me some calm and understanding this illness. You are very much appreciated.

Great video! I'm 35 and recently got the news that I may have copd or asthma. Waiting to do the labs and spirometry test on January to get the diagnosis. It has been scary and I've been sick like 3 to 4 times this year, something that never happened to me, I dont smoke o drink or anything. My doctor thinks it is because of soldering. Thanks for the information, it is very helpful and gave me a little calm.

Now, I have been on oxygen since July And this past August or September; I noticed that when I leave it on for 5-10hrs. And take it off, I can't breath And have to run 2 my nebulizer or inhalers to give me relief I heard it could be too much carbon noxide in my system or something else. What is your thought on this

What about Trelegy Ellipta ? Does it really help?
@BrianBizik2 күн бұрын
Yes, it does in the right patient. We have two inhalers with all three classes of medication, this is one of them. We don't have head to head data, so no one knows if one is better than the other, but Trelegy is a good option for the right patient. Breztri is the other triple inhaler and is another good choice.

Does it matter which band is used, so long as same drug classes?
@BrianBizik2 күн бұрын
For the most part, no. Go with the medication category choice that is right for the patient and then the inhaler that is covered by their insurance or is least expensive. There are differences but in the end, the best inhaler is the one they can afford. As I mentioned in the video, there are times when the type of inhaler (powder vs mist etc) can be a big difference maker as well.

When will any mainstream medical folk ever look at diet? I've had emphysema for 13 years and never even a word from many different doctors inquiring about the food I put into my body on a daily basis. It seems insane because it is. When I eat very low carb for a few weeks I start to feel better and better..when I let the carbs back in, I feel worse. The food you put into your body is the main determinant of INFLAMMATION. In all these years no inhalers nebulizers, steroid powders, have ever made a difference to me like the food I eat. The medical industry and medical education system is shameful.

Hello, it doesn't help at all, it's only marketing for sale, I have COPD, risk group 3,4 and I've taken all the crap on the market possible, nothing, I haven't even felt the slightest bit of something, everything is a thief
@BrianBizik2 күн бұрын
@@DanielCrețu-z7j Sorry to hear that. I would suggest that you confirm the diagnosis. It's really not possible for those with COPD to not get any benefit from the right medications - delivered correctly. Even those with severe COPD and obstruction see benefit from medications most of the time.
