Gotye song "somebody i used to know" has sample guitar from another musician The song has over 1 billion views . Yet Gotye never made a single $ on that song as he'd have to pay royalties for the rest of his life . He gave away the song for free. Using that logic , every one of these indian songs using samples have to pay royalties .

not gonna lie, as someone whose tried making an original melody, its quite a difficult task.. we don't know whats out there, thousands of languages and billions of songs and folk lore's. even if i make something that i believe is an original, it may sound a copied version to someone after few decades if something close to my work has already been published and i simply wasn't aware of it. due to this line of thinking, i stopped blaming people for copying lol, people do crappy things to fill their belly and music is not an easy industry.

Some music could have just coincidentally comes out to be the same . Prabhu deva 's video song "Urvashi" 's tune is exactly the same as Bruno Mars' "Its my birthday song" . I don't think Bruno Mars copy it .

Pretty woman was adapted, they mention it at the start of the credits for the song. I think they got permission to use the song, they bought the rights as far as i can remember. Good video though, appreciate your views on the rest of the songs.
