is there a way to have copilot scan the schema for database that I am linked to without scripting the structure first in another tab? kind of crazy that intelisence seems to know what to do and copilot gets lost

Hey @ernestmckey - currently Copilot doesn't have that capability, but we definitely understand the need for that, and it's something we are researching. Copliot supports dozens of languages, and T-SQL is a bit unique in that there is an entire schema that Copilot can benefit from and, when understood, creates a different context than when you're relying on classes and functions in code.

This is awesome… it should work well with large data files on live settings. Will give it a try, thank you. Keep it coming

How can I set this from scratch?

this is not AI, fetch is replacing "SELECT", change it to "get me", or "show me" . This looks like its just "anglicizing" SQL syntax. I can see this getting very messy with aggregation and complex queries. Its a start I guess

Everyone, and everything, starts at the beginning. There is an art to providing Copilot the optimal prompt, and the examples here are pretty straightforward. We plan to continue to create content with more advanced examples, for those that may have not have time to try it in their own environments.
