seeing the video reminded me of the many years I traveled through and shopped at Copper Ali. - also the many jewelry stores and the food market.

This video brings back SO many memories! My parents took us here so much, I genuinely think we have one of everything from their store. :D

I miss Copper Ali’s! Loved to hang out with them. Rare that they allowed a single female to just hang out. I felt so safe with them! ‘86-89

Is that place still open now (2022)? It's been 30 years (Gulf War time) since Wife and I were stationed at Incirlik. We would love to return on vacation some day with our son who was born there (the base not the store). We lived in the village as well as on base.

My son was born at Incirlik as well. We were told if he ever wanted to go back to the country that he needed to do so before the age of 18. Otherwise the Turkish military could opt to draft him for two years since they would always consider him to be a dual citizen. I do not know if that is still true (or if it ever was), but it might be something to look into.
