Trying out a little experiment with copper washing on this modern cleaver style seax and i also dabbled into making my own knife scales on this one.

Thanks. I always harden the tangs on my knives especially if it’s designed to be a workhorse.

@@DiesInEveryFilm I was always told to leave the tang soft as to not snap. You would prefer it to bend before breaking. As thick as this knife is I doubt it would break. Different strokes for different folks 👍

Yes it warped I assume its cause of the fuller and possible uneven heat when quenching. Hahahahaha seax(aphone) Safety glasses? For when? I wear them when they are needed mate

Yeh it sure does mate, you can actually do it just spraying that solution but electro plating gives a better finish

Its french chalk on the file and i get the screws from various different places it would be difficult to list and explain sorry.

Yes it helps keep the teeth gumming up and gives a smoother run cause it acts as a lubricant.
