Thank you so much! This video answered one of my burning questions about how to secure the vanes to a bearing. On to Part 3!

Coming right along! Don't know what I'd do without my die grinders!

Very clever! I like that you have them going in opposite directions! That will really be beautiful if they'll turn like that!

I have only recently discovered them, thirty years with a file! I love them, I have only two, a straight one and a ninety degree one but when coupled with a garryson carbide burr or 3M roloc disc they are just the dogs!!

This guy is wonderful to watch. Especially his old English dialect.

you could try one of the harness hooks, the single one, that's what I did in one of my tests.. Do a video of the results!

At that price i'm guessing it's a big 150mm x 2000mm job like mine.... OK, i'll have to wait until you get one! I was using A Canon Vixia HV30, a great camera, but recently swapped to a Canon HFS200, twice the price of the HV30 but not sure it's that much better!

Did you use flux when you brazed the copper and stainless together??project looks good!did your wife talk you into this one??
@garyhuston12 жыл бұрын
Hey Kirby, yes I used siflux, I think it's a BOC product, a bit messy but it works. The wife doesn't know about it yet it's a surprise!

In order to get the spinners rotating in opposite directions do the leaves on one have a twist in the opposite direction to the other or are they all made the same and one wheel is reversed. Looks great by the way!
@garyhuston11 жыл бұрын
Yes, twist them in opposite directions.

Why a 2 inch one that's very restricting, ok for knives but pretty useless for much else. Will you be able to get belts ok, most seem to be 2000mm which is 79". There is a 75mm one for £942.00 on datapowertools.co.uk. might be more useful.

Not that it really matters, but pi is 3.14159... not 3.1412 I don't mean to nit-pick. Great project! I've got a few of my own "kinetic sculptures" in the works as well, so it's fun to see other's techniques and thought process.

Your right no one gives a fuck so why bother to even mention it! The calculation still comes out to 29.9 whichever figure you use.
