Paul, thanks so much for your videos. You are really an excellent teacher, especially because you break things down into manageable parts and give understandable and concise explanations accompanied by so much visual reinforcement. Hopefully I will be able to take one of your workshops when you visit the USA. I would suggest erasing the board better and using some colored chalk for details (ie slant, ovals, etc) or a white board. Great videos!

sharaon thomas hi there. Building a calligraphy business is not an easy thing. It takes time. Start with a style sheet you can email to clients for them to see what envelopes look like, with prices. Good luck with it

Fantastic video. I really enjoy Copperplate. I was wondering, do you know anything about Kurrent or Sutterlin? I'd love to see a video comprising the differences (the many that there are) between that and Copperplate or one of the other more 'commonly' used English scripts. If you know of any, I'd love to know of them.

hei paul! what is your opinion about graffiti tags? i mean letters where the structure isn't classic...
@PAScribe8 жыл бұрын
+TheMrFloorball like everything, there is good and bad, even in graffiti. Lettering doesn't mean that it MUST always follow classicly formal structure as long as the sense of form, balance, design and structure is present, but mostly it need to be pleasing to look at.

Hi. Great video! =) Please, may you tell me where I can find some videos from you for beginners of Calligraphy? Not just Copperplate script (which is my favourite to watch) but in general, e.g. some basic rules in Calligraphy, recommendations, etc. Cause this video was very helpful and for sure the others are but I'd like to learn it from the basis. Or just some recommendation where I can find sth good to learn. Thank you for your respond.
