Georgia is north of Florida. hint hint 😉 edit- i would also like to clarify, as i've seen some people misconstrue what i mean about my encounter with the cop. the note i made about privilege was not meant to be directed at my experience with that cop in particular; he was INCREDIBLY nice, and the situation went extremely well. what it *was* meant to be directed at is as i continued to talk about it i noticed i kept talking about my experiences with cops in GENERAL as if they would be the same kind of experience for everyone, which simply put isn't the case, and would have been irresponsible of me not to address. The note was there to acknowledge that my experience is going to differ from other people's. It has also been pointed out that my experiences could be attributed to being female as well, and I'd like to acknowledge that, yes! That is likely another factor. (though, that comes with its own set of disadvantages as well, let's be honest).

I really appreciated that little note you wrote. And your pinned comment having to defend yourself for what you wrote, well, I appreciate that too, because some people truly don't believe that cops treat everyone equally, and the fact that you decided to write it and stick to your guns about it, that's fantastic. I am saying this because I am also a van camper (although not as frequent and as adventurous as you!), and I have definitely run into some.... iffy situations based on where I was. Especially out in more rural areas, I'm a big Asian guy, not everyone necessarily enjoys my presence. Most of the time, LEO have been very accommodating and nice. But I have had a handful of situations where they had their hands on their holster, ready to draw their weapon on me, and it had me feeling VERY nervous. And there was one specific time, the sheriff who pulled me over was outright racist, not directly towards me, but addressing my girlfriend (who is white) about her being in my company. It's obviously difficult to say if someone is discriminating or not if they are simply being hostile without being outright racist, so it seems like someone's pulling the "race card". But when it happens to you way way more often than your white friends, it's not hard to call it as it is. But I digress. I just appreciated the note.

What a pleasure to watch you in the morning with my cup of coffee. It's good to start out my day with a smile and you gave it to me. BTW, love seeing you sing snippets of songs as you drive/work/play, especially show & movie tunes. I do the same thing.

I have been there soo many times. My siblings and I have been traveling and living and sleeping in cars snd vans since we were teenagers. We call them flashy. Sometimes flashy is nice. Sometimes flashy is indifferent. Sometimes flashy makes you go away. Most of the time flashy is just checking you out and making sure you are not a danger to his community. Flashy us paid to be suspicious. Lots of times flashy is fun to talk to and makes for good conversation.

You're so incredibly sad in the beginning and throughout this week's viewing you're slowly placing yourself back to the center. ❤️ So much to love.

I usually watch sooner, but I’m currently working non-stop in the desert of Pecos TX. Seeing my home state of Georgia gave me sooo much comfort ☺️

Most of them are, it’s the Media that wants you to believe otherwise! Thank God for cops!
@willsofer36793 жыл бұрын
@@user-on7zd8yi8g The media doesn't want anyone to "believe otherwise". They're just reporting on what the reality is for some people. The lived experience of some people is very different if you aren't a cute blonde white girl in braids. Of course there are cops that are just genuinely good people, but there are definitely widespread problems in law enforcement culture throughout the country, and people need to acknowledge it before it can change.
