Brian - The MDC cops know the area well. Any getaway would be temporary. Much better to just deal with it. Only 3 road exits from the area, cops can cover those quick. We CT peeps have limited riding options, legal or not, and we have to play it as cool as possible to keep those available. Unless of course you just want to ride your dirtbike in big cities like those Wheelie Boyz do. ;)

I will respond to this one and hopefully this will answer EVERYONES question... Normally, we wouldn't have stopped for anything. HOWEVER, we parked our truck outside by the dump (only other way out) so there is NO WAY we could have got away. They would be at the entrance by our truck and we would be screwed if we ran. In fact, as we loaded them up for the day after we got the ticket, another DEP guy in a black ford f350 came barreling down the road and stopped us again for absolutely nothing.

Well the DmV Registration sticker is what I ment by licensed! Mine was a red sticker which in California you can only ride at state parks from Oct. 1-April 30. I was riding in Whiskey falls which is all roads, a few hills on the side and a trails around May which was not the right time to ride a red sticker bike only green sticker bikes. First time I had a problem going there for like 10 years nothin and my dad 30+ years no problems till that day.

i know everyone has already said it. but WHY would u ever stop on the powerlines? i live in connecticut also and i have been blocked in both ends of a powerline section before by 2 DEP Ford Expeditions, and still got away. and then got chased down the road by a cop. Its literally so easy to get away from the police on trails. Ive also outrun police only staying on the road on a xr100!

All Connecticut State Forest except Pachaug SF State forest is illegal to ride OHV. In Connecticut there are only 2 legal riding areas: Thomaston Dam riding area -Army Corps of Engineers (not state run) - bike must be registered. Pachaug State Forest- Street Plated, reg, insured only. Period. 100's of miles of illegal ATV trail everywhere in the state, but if you get caught, you get a ticket. If you run, and get caught, worse.

They have bad and good cops out there I was given a warning once riding with a red sticker in the mountains in California. I bought a green sticker and only time I was stopped was to check if I had a spark arrester and its property licensed. Now Fish and game different story good luck there!

Every rider knows to never stop for the cops. the woods is our territory, cops cant do anything. If you're driving a car thats different. but 9 times out of 10 you wont get caught in the woods.

mate is that a 125 or 250cc i got a250cc & a 50cc & a 125. i got away from the police loads of times on my 50cc and it was just too easy on my 250cc and my 125 though so if i was yu i would turn left goin the woods and dodge trees then put it flat out on the road then you would of got away ok (IF IN DOUBT. GO FLAT OUT)
