Not only is it $950 fine in Victoria; they wouldn't let you drive it away either. Tow truck job until you get the rego sorted. I got stung a few months ago because they suspended my rego due to Takata airbag recall and they don't notify via usual SMS and email for suspended rego. I pleaded my case that it was not fair so they did refund my $950 but not the tow truck fees.

I camped at the bend just north of Coen in late 2019. My camping spot near the vehicle crossing is now under water, due to sand movement in the last few wet seasons. A good demonstration of what a wet season flood does to rivers.

Darcy, check your top timing chain guide. Might have been the belt but that sounded very chain like through the camera. The auto t chain tensioner is known to stuff out and then u chew the rest of your guides out.

Sorry mate. I commented that right as I heard the sound. Didn't realise u Put it in the shop on film. Do it sooner than later as obviously if it skips a tooth your fucked😂 understandable before the Cape though, when u do get it all replaced only use oem for parts, for some reason every other timing chain tensioner always flog out within a couple thousand. Get the boys to refresh the head while your in there, they can gum up and your right there anyway, also intake clean to unlock some free power.

4d56 in challenger/ mn triton has a timing belt, not a chain. 4n15's in paj sport/mq onwards have a timing chain

That’s correct it’s called an ANPR System and if I remember correctly it can read up to 1000 plates per second front and back and there’s no room for error. If you pass one you’re busted.

I've camped at that lookout on my way back from the Cape. You got off lightly with the rego, you usually get a $400 fine for no rego, and also a $400 fine for no third party insurance.

It's called ANPR - Automated Number Plate Recognition. A camera hooked up through a computer bacl to police and governmant systems scans every number plate and gives real time warnings ie: may be used in ......, may be driven by ......., and cars which are unregistered, owned by disqualified/suspended/unlicensed drivers will also flag.
