Hey guys, just wanted to let everyone know this video was supposed to be released yesterday, but KZbin wanted to restrict ads. They still decided to do so even after an appeal. But the point of me telling you guys that is because there will not be a public live stream tonight, since I had it last night. I will be doing a private live stream though at 8PM EST. Join us at patreon.com/officer401 🙂

The Movie Mall cops did a dis-service to those who try to look after those on private property. I worked for 28 yrs. I never had a problem running to the alarm, the issue was trying to calm those lost inside their fear. A victim would drop into shock faster if they were amped up. Calming them allowed them to get to hosp before they did go into shock. The good ladies and gents - of other agencies were the best to work with. As 1IC - I tried to keep useless calls for help to a min. If staff called 911 - they were very quick in arriving. These gents are marvelous examples of those I called friends. Took me 10 yrs to stop reacting to the firehall 400 yds from my house. Caring for and helping others was why I worked! Cheers to you!

I wouldn't think once about trying to save that Earthrealmer, I help people as my job, so I wouldn't have to think about saving them or not. I will not be affected by the flames, smoke, or heat, so why not? I've got nothing to lose, not even my life, I already lost that century's ago. It's not about being brave for me, its about wanting to do the right thing. And my will to do the right thing, is greater than anything. I help protect this realm, because it is good to help out, and protect people. I believe these Police Officers are the same in a way, perhaps not as much as me but they share my thoughts.

There's a lot of ways to save money however like not buying from these rip off military companies and stuff that build the cheapest garbage possible and make huge profits off of it. Use the money wisely so officers can have the tools and training required to do the best job they possibly can so we can have a safer society for everyone without compromise.

@@sirbader1 Like I said I don't disagree with you. But it's also why no one will ever seriously invade the US because our police force alone could fight off a small army, and our military can fight off the world if we need to. That is the price of safety and freedom. Let alone, the amount of weaponry we hold in private arms is a great deterrent. I think the police force needs to better regulated on their spending sure and get rid of these rip off Government supply companies so we can get more bang for our buck. But either way, as long as the police force remains mostly non corrupt I really don't care if they have a huge budget. There's a thousand military programs I'd cut before I cut the police because ultimately society needs a police force to maintain law and order and be a last effort of fighting off a military invasion with the help of the reserves and Cost Guard. It's not like we don't have the money in the US, we're a very wealthy country. But we spend a lot of money in other ways that are a waste.

We had an 87' Trans Am burn down in the driveway of our house back in 02', the heat was so bad it started melting the siding off the neighbors house. It took a group of full geared fire fighters to put it out. The heat those officers walked into, in, compared to fire fighting gear, street clothes, amazing. I don't doubt that these two Officers may fob off any recognition with they were "just doing their duty", "following their training". Until you have been in such a confronting situation it is hard to fully comprehend the level courage and personal resiliance it takes to step up in situations such as this. The media is morally obligated to fully cover and promote these Officers actions which led to the saving of a life from certain death. The media should cover this story with the same zeal and drive as they have afforded other negative stories. The community needs to fully recognise the heroic efforts of Officers like these two and afford them every commendation that is avalible to the them! These Officers went above and beyond their duty by placing their own saftey after that of the man in the burning car. I whole heartedly congratulate them on their courage, ability to remain calm and without hesitation act decisively.

EMS first responders, rolled up on a car-b-cue similar to that, did the same thing. Leather extraction gloves were on and fire extinguisher was in hand before we even stopped rolling, spray the immediate area down to knock the fire away temporarily, break window, open door, cut seat belt, drag unconscious pax (only current occupant) out of car, bagged O2. Transported patient to ER. FD showed up about 3 minutes later, as we were pulling away with the patient. We had to leave rig LT behind as scene commander since, once you're in charge of a scene, you can't abandon it until relieved by a superior or the scene is cleared. Picked him up 30 minutes later at the mcdonalds where he was sucking down a coffee after turning the scene over to the FD. Never heard if the PD ever decided to show up. There was no thinking, it was all just doing. It was winter in NJ, so we were fully dressed with everything except the turnouts and SCBA gear. Then there was the call where we had to pull the guy's car off his chest before we could get him away from the car-b-cue. Guy was pinned between the car and a bridge abutment. car had fallen off it's jack, that punched the tank and started the fire. Poor guy lost his legs, but not his life in spite of the crushed ribs. I've got another dozen or so calls like that from 2 years in the rig. Most other EMTs that I knew back then had similar records. Seemed like, to me, it was just another day on the job, nothing special. I will say, nice job to the cops doing that in short sleeves though. I think, if it had been me, I'd have grabbed the turn out coat first if I was in short sleeves. Of course, cops don't carry those, so...

I currently work as a Park Ranger, and just yesterday I rolled up on an auto vs pedestrian car accident in the city. There were 8 people in the roadway with the female, along with a group of people watching from the busy gas station. Everyone was just standing looking at the female as she laid in the middle of the road bleeding profusely from her head barely conscious. Luckily the department I work for I'm able to contact directly to the cities police dispatch and request PD and FD. Also, lucky for her, we were within walking distance of a fire station. so fire was able to respond within a minute. Within that time frame I only did what was feasible which was try and control the bleeding as much as possible before they arrived. I just want to add aswell while we were working the scene there was a group of kids that kept circling the vehicles shouting slurs towards the police. I understand, even as a Park Ranger we get it all the time, after 4 years I'm good at tuning it out. However, when you are solely there for the care of another person, you need to rethink your idea of what your angry at them about.

I'll never forget driving upon a burning car when driving to holidays. Bystanders couldn't open the doors, they were too smashed. Where I was standing, I could hear the screams. My then partner physically restrained me with another guy on the scene when I tried to approach. It felt like a nightmare. It took so, so long for the professionals to get there - it was a middle of nowhere really.. Seconds felt like hours. The sound is embedded in my soul. A woman and her small baby lost their lives. I've bought two giant fire extinguishers (and an extra one since I bought a hybrid, upon seeing electric car fires in China a d trying to put out a trash fire with the "standard" one issued with the car). I've bought hydraulic shears and professional grade " jaws of life" on advice of firefighter friend who taught me how to use them.I hope they will never see use. Im still thinking of that woman and her poor baby. Im still feeling guilty. I feel, I know almost that something could have been done. I know the rules but I find it difficult to forgive the people who tried to stop me from approaching. I'd rather die trying than live with this guilt.

Years ago I was delivering newspapers. As I was passing one of the intersections in the residential neighborhood I thought I saw flames, so I backed up to check. A Dodge Ram a couple houses down had flames coming from the left wheel well and quickly caught the engine compartment while I was approaching the truck. And you're right, it was already very hot near the truck. I had a buddy working with me that night as it was Sunday morning. I had him call 911 while I tried to see if anyone was in the vehicle, but between the smoke, heat, and tinted windows I couldn't tell. Burned my hand a bit checking the door handle, just like that officer. Luckily that set off the car alarm and the owner and a couple neighbors came out moments later. My buddy was doing the best he could with the little extinguisher I kept in my car, and the neighbor pulled a hose out and started to spray the truck down. The owner was a contractor and the bed of the truck and the trailer hitched to it were full of paint, gas, and several other highly flammable items, so he and I disconnected the trailer and pushed it away, then proceeded to unload the bed, the others being able to contain the fire long enough to do so. By this point, the alarm had been burned out, both front tires were blown, and the windshield was melting. Something had happened to the transmission and the truck started rolling toward the intersection and other houses. The owner, my friend, and I held on to the tailgate to keep it from rolling. Thankfully the street wasn't too steep. We held it until Fire arrived. All told inside of 15 minutes the entire front and cab were completely gutted by fire. If I hadn't been driving by at that moment it could've been way worse. Later turned out to be arson as they found an incendiary device in the wheel well we first saw the fire coming from. Unfortunately no one ended up being charged due to lack of evidence.

Yea, I'm not a cop but if I see a bad car accident or something like that and there's no emergency responders there yet, I always stop and make sure everyone is ok. I helped pull a lady out of an overturned vehicle that started smoking. Then I made sure there were no kids or any other passengers in the back seat and I called 911. While I was on the phone with the dispatcher I started directing cars around the accident so they didn't just sit there and stare at the scene like a bunch of idiots. You don't have to be an emergency responder, if you are there when it happens, then you are the first responder!

My story: I was on my way home from work when I just see black smoke coming from a neighborhood. Way to big for a bbq and in city limits to be a trash barrel. So I head to it, see its a house on fire. Nobody else is coming to it. So I run to the house, start banging on the door. this teen kid comes and I tell him to get the hell out. he's all confused and says his baby brothers are still in their rooms. without thinking (seriously, I'm not a firefighter, I'm a nurse), I rush in the direction the kid pointed their rooms were and try to find them. I get to them, the house is already really hot and starting to get smoky. the teen followed me, I hand him the toddler and tell him to get out of the house. we're still missing the baby. I get to the baby room and he's asleep in his crib. i grab him and the freaking bottle for some reason (I'm also a mom...) and rush out of the house. Still nobody has shown up outside or neighbors haven't noticed it, so I run to the neighbors house, bang on their door and tell them to call 911. They're super confused and crap. and then they see what's happening. She sees that the kids are in the front yard and she asks, "where's the dad?!" I was like, I don't know. "OMG, he's in the back shed! I saw him earlier today sleeping there!" WTF?! (The shed is connected to the house, hence why the house was also on fire) I ask the teen, if his dad is there and he started to cry and realized his dad was still in there. The male neighbor and I run to the shed. Fully on fire on the side of the house. one side still not on fire, happened to have a window so the neighbor breaks it and starts yelling for him. No answer. Thankfully, the guy was gone. He went to the store. Fire Dept. finally arrives and starts doing their thing. Told my husband what happened since I burned my scrub jacket sleeve and smelled like a smoke pit… he was pissed. lol But hey, I played firefighter and saved three kids.

I was driving at night and saw a huge cloud of smoke coming from a residential area. I drove towards it and found a large shed on fire right beside a house. The trees around it were glowing from the embers. The neighbors yelled that they had called 911 already, but they were all staying at their houses. I asked if anyone was in the house next to the shed and they didn't know. I went around the entire house banging on the door and windows to try to wake up anyone that might be in there. The heat coming from the fire was unbearable and after a couple minutes of doing that I had to go back towards the road. Thank God no one was in there. The fire department got there right as I got back to the road. As we were leaving one of the fire trucks dropped a bunch of plastic things off the side as they were turning onto the street so we went back to give them back and the fire was twice as big in the short amount of time. Fire is terrifying.

I totally agree, more videos of LEO’s doing positive work is much needed not to mention a very much overlooked part of their daly job/duty. The current positive/negative attention is so badly skewed as the media follow the sick “if it bleeds, it leads” mantra.

I'm no emt or leo or fireman, I have only ever seen one truck on fire in my life, about the same size as this one. I was driving on the freeway and the truck was burning down in the emergency lane. I was 2 lanes away and felt the intense heat through the windows and A/C in my truck. Those guys were definitely within burn radius being that close to the truck on fire. Diesels run very hot and are no joke on fire.

If it's fully engulfed, I'd do a 360 check. Check for hazards. from there it's life over limb. Approach on atleast a 45 degree angle to avoid bumpers, Evac any occupants to safety and ensure they have medical aid, then fight the fire. cheers, -Blair (Former Firefighter)

Been there done it was off duty (fire) and came a cross a car in a parking lot that had caught fire turns out guy overdosed in the driver seat and fell asleep with his foot on the gas at full tilt blew the motor and the oil caught fire, when I opened the door I realized he was still in it took his seatbelt off and myself and another guy pulled him out I grabbed narcan from my car and gave him a dose he was just starting to come around when fire and medics got on scene, ended up getting an award from the dept whose area I was in.

I would have done the same thing those Officers did! I can remember when another FF and I were returning to the station when we saw this car do a direct 90 degree turn into a guard rail and pulled over to help them. Ironically, they were on their way to the hospital as the guys' wife was in labor and for some unknown reason, the guy passed out and drove into the guard rail. To make a long story short the gentleman suffered from vertigo and for his Wife she delivered a healthy Baby Girl. My question to you 401 is have you ever had to help deliver a baby?

I once had a burning car on my mobile security patrol route. The rear of the vehicle was on fire in multi level parkade it was on the second floor. On my approach to the vehicle I called out to anyone inside, no response. I couldn't see into the vehicle, even with my flash light. I tried the door handle & it could not be manipulated. Fearing some one may be in the vehicle I returned to my bike where a wrench was stowed for quick repairs & I returned to the vehicle & broke out the front drivers side window. Thank fully no one was inside. I withdrew & called 911 & notified supervisor. I remained on scene till cleared by fd & my supervisor. My second encounter was with my own car an 06 cvpi the engine compartment caught fire & burnt up my car. I was working at the local hospital that day & returned to find the fd at my house hosing down my car & cutting it up. Apparently the battery started it according to the fd. Unfortunately it damaged the families f350 but no one was injured. That is about it.

I have done Royal Navy fire fighting training I always have a full bushy beard and moustache you can very quickly soak it and use it as a short term smoke filter in this situation tho I wouldn’t bother just smash the window and get him out while another person uses extinguisher to keep the area im pulling him out from stays clear of flames

While fire is my biggest fear, I’ve almost been murdered twice, so I’m not hesitant to say I’d try and yank someone out... and then have my deserved panic attack 😂. Btw, the first time I was almost murdered I was 14, and I kept hidden. The second time I knew the two men were there for me specifically (long story). Because of that, there was no hope except to try and get to the car. I was a 16 y/o girl, but I was 5’8”, a body builder, and I knew that they wouldn’t expect me to come raging TOWARDS them. So I grabbed a garden tool, and ran screaming in the deepest, most psychotic way possible towards them. I only needed to buy a little time, and those few moments of surprise were enough for me to get in the car and lock the doors. One of them slammed onto my door before I could floor it, screaming and cursing about what he was going to do to me. Thank God they didn’t have guns, or I WOULD have been dead. A year later they raped, beat and dumped a teen girl, leaving her for dead (so they thought) in the woods. I actually didn’t think I would make it to my car, so I was thinking that at least I could get as much of their dna on me, and mine on them as possible. Still gives me nightmares. God bless 💙👮‍♂️💙

Personally, I have a pen that has a spring-loaded busta-cap on the end. Push it hard enough against the glass right smack dab in the middle of the pane and it crumbles. I also have the end of the fire extinguisher that I'd be using in this instance. I wouldn't do anything different than these officers did right here.

To answer you last question about what I would do: I would absorb the flames and clear the car of fire, or maybe I would walk through the flames, and pull them out anyway. I control Hellfire, fire has no effect on me. Now if this were poisonous gas or something like that, then I would have a problem.
