Chatt cops are an interesting species. Schizophrenic is maybe a better description. I encountered one particularly sketchy one on several occasions. The first time he was directing traffic during a bike race. I came to a complete stop at the stop sign and looked both ways as he was signaling me to proceed. I noticed that he never actually checked to see if it was clear, but as I drove past him he cursed at me and held up his middle finger. Several days later we crossed paths at a bar so I asked him if I should still F off. He laughed all friendly like, winked, and said, “all the way, bro.” My face probably needed deliverance because he quickly dropped his friendly smile and trotted off. I’m still working on my tolerance for stupid. 🤷🏽
