I thought the story was good? I actually prefer this to the og work because it's a lot more nuanced and complex. it show still shows Beowulf as a hero but a flawed hero. and Grendal as sympathetic (from what other people say I personally dont but others say they feel bad for him) instead of an outright monster. although the animation when I first saw it I literally got up and left the theater when I realized it was like shrek. I was MAD that day. but I just watched it again and really liked it.
