@@near4316 and any other person who's got the same problem: you can help it though! slowly, gradually, but surely. you are probably very kind if you try to find yourself a fitting personality each time only so that ppl around you would be comfortable, or maybe you are afraid to express yourself the way you'd like to; in any case, it can/should be helped. it's fun to form friendships in which ppl's personalities are noticeably different. don't rush it but keep trying, awright? it always matters who you are in general, and there is a fine line between empathy and becoming someone else. sorry for rambling it's just that ive been there too and i felt so free when i got rid of it (｡ŏ﹏ŏ)ᕤ hopefully these words will at least cheer somebody up

..Which is why on my first playthrough, I couldn't decide on a route (because I'm very indecisive) so I just went "Welp, wing it." and chose completely honest answers/what I would say. Felt a lot more rewarding, personally. Edit: I did end up with a good ending, though, and yeah, honestly. Felt more rewarding, glad people agree! I’d recommend it.

I really relate to this- since when I first started to play MM, I did every interaction with *my* personality. But it ended up with a bad ending- so from then on I changed my answers to fit what the characters would like to hear to make them happy- even though I’m not ok but the game is not about us- and seriously- seven’s route is really the most heartbreaking one- I rmb getting so hurt- and got a bad ending where we both died together- I felt so bad that I couldn’t save him and myself that I stopped playing the game for years- now I downloaded it back and got good endings for everybody ;v; even though it’s not what I’d say XDD I’m just Glad they’re happy-

Me too! I originally played going by my personal answers but it didn't turn out well, so I, as MC, had to change myself for the characters. I imagine MC as more than a blank husk, so it's sad how she changes herself.

This describes a problem I have in MM.. I love all of them! But no matter what I do.. I always get a bad ending.. the first was really heartbreaking.. Yoosung came to save me from the apartment, but it blew up and we both died... I was heartbroken, and tried to avoid Yoosung for most routes.. but yeah.. I'm not really active on MM either but when I catch up with everything, when I finally get a call, I'm so happy that I can finally hear they're voices again.. I really hate the bad endings, typing this has made me start crying.. everything's blurry.. i'll stop talking now..

My personally actually fit really well with seven. But when I tried yoosungs route I got a bad ending almost immediately because I was like "dude, I'm not your cousin stop being weird and incesty". Now I'm playing jumin and it works pretty well. But sevens route will probably always be my favourite.

MC is an orphan, got kidnapped, life threatened by a bomb, has to change her personality to please others, she also has to deal with the stress of the party whilst trying to keep everyone sane, never gets to explain her problems, probably never gets sleep, gets compared a lot with someone she doesn’t want to, forced into a group, got hacked, forced to stay in a house with a stranger watching her through her security cameras, literally never gets to know anything that’s going on around her and whenever she tries to help others they either ignore her or push her away and I feel so bad for her cuz no one ever asked in the game if she’s okay (not physically but emotionally) like bro, she probably deals with the most stress especially dealing with most of these all at the same time....

i just immaginated an Au where everyone in the game are actor and Mc is an Emotionless perfect actress (that can act like she truly felt that way with no gasp) and that can do whatever the director want her to act in front of the camera,because the fan of the drama what more ending she had to act several time like she is stuck in this timeline and had to reapet and recreate her personality over and over again,in the past the cast still treated her like a human being but because of her perfect act in front of the camera people slowy started to call her monster(bad)

I’m at the point where I’ve cried so much about MysticMessenger characters not being real, but I can’t stop going back to the game to just get the feeling of being cared for. I’ve re downloaded it twice now. I feel too connected to the characters because I actually relate to them a lot and I surprisingly act like some of them in real life (mostly Yoosung☺️)

Also, I remember playing this game because I was bored and curious, and I really enjoyed the story and characters.
