8 years ago I took the Greyhound night run from Kamloops to Coquitlam & awoke at 3 am to find the Greyhound slowly weaving between big rigs stopped in all lanes above the snow shed (at 1:30). Greyhound stopped, driver got out & handed a parcel into the cab of a truck. Eat your heart out Federal Express.

I drove a semi all over the Country and Canada for 20 years. I can tell you any mountain with snow and Ice or any road with ice is super dangerous. If you don't know what you are doing/or you are unlucky you can lose your life quickly. Disrespect for the danger and lack of knowledge are the 2 most common problems with driving in this kind of terrain

I drive it 4 times a month, all year! Have seen many many accidents along highway 5,

Try driving it with snow on the road ... its scary indeed

I've heard much about the coq but highway 3 seems way worse... must be the the fact that its a two lane mainstream highway from the mainland to the okanagan...too many idiots from the city think they can rip this in their shitbox 4x4s in weather from hell...
