We were victims of robbery inside the hotel. In terms of security. very deficient, that is why I am going to give my worst review of this hotel all included puntacana iberostar bavaro level. In the season from Dec 30, 2022 to January 8, 2023 we were robbed by the hotel cleaning staff. It is assumed that if you leave your belongings inside the room, it is assumed that they are safe. money is not used inside the hotel since you are register, they provide you with a bracelet that identifies you as a guest member of the hotel. For those days we did not use cash money or make extra purchases inside the hotel that indicated the use in any payment method. We have left our wallets inside the room in our suitcases In the room me, my husband, and his nephew. One day before we left we realized that the cash money doesn’t be in the wallets ,someone has took the cash in dollars. this person hast took my money ,my husband cash, and his nephew money in total $1480 dollars in cash from our wallets.!!! I’m gonna emphasize cash only!! No one had access to the room except for us and the house keeper cleaner . We called reception to report what had happened, following the regular hotel security channel and their investigation concluded: that they were not in charge, there was no evidence to incriminate any member of his crew and it was the guest's responsibility to use the safe box security. I don't think there is anything written or signed when a guest has to account for their values when entering the hotel in a case of robbery like this. A regular security channel when the security cameras show that the only ones who entered were the cleaning people. . In addition to their insinuation that we as a family steal from each other. disrespect to the guest !!. They rob us and now for the hotel we are the thieves! There something clear to me! There are an agreement between the members of the iberostar selection level crew so that this case does not escalate to the general supervisor of the hotel. We are been asking what kind type of insurance the hotel had and after several emails to impose a formal demand, they have only ignored it and we have not received a response. The peace of mind y and confidence were ruined with this robbery on our vacations has been $1480 dollars. For the hotel this is an insignificant Mont of money this is nothing, but for me! trust is lost and something more valuable im gonna give a series of bad reviews for me for all iberostar puntacana bavaro level .so that new clients and guests do not fall for it. this type of theft and hotel inegligence to handle this type of cases. We never going back to Punta Cana iberostar bavaro selection level which is not a low category, on the contrary, it is one of the best in terms of service and with a luxury image within its category, I am not talking about a hotel with a low reputation, I am talking about a 5-star hotel luxury. A low price has not been paid for a stay of 8 days, its guests are of a high international social level. thank you for ruining our vacation and have the decency to answer our emails to file a formal claim with your insurance company
