Coralie Fargeat bravely uses violence as a weapon of art to reflect Western civilization's elephant in the room. I saw The Substance over the weekend and had to check out her first feature film. Coralie is one of the most creative film directors alive. She paints with bold strokes and simultaneously layers her stories with depth and compassion. I'll watch anything with her name on it. Totally brilliant.

Copying my comment from another interview I watched... this was a ROCK SOLID, give no fucks feminist revenge film and IT ABSOLUTELY RULES. Coralie Fargeat's direction and cinematography was fantastic and Matilda Lutz's performance was EXCELLENT. Matilda doesnt seem to have done much since, I hope she picks up some more work because damn did this woman do a great job in this role.

Coralie, son film est vraiment impressionnant et difficile à regarder. Mais foutument bien fait. Par contre, durant cette entrevue... son accent lorsqu'elle parle anglais... c'est affreux. Ça arrache grave. Souvent les mots qu'elle prononce sont incompréhensibles.
