Corbin Carroll has legitimate power. Even Mike Stantons minor league ISO wasn't much higher, and when you watch him hit, you can see how easily he generates bat speed.

For old-timers who remember sweet-swingin' Billy Williams, who playes on the 1960s/early 70s Chicago Cubs, he had that same deceptive power. Beautiful swing, but the ball often didn't look smashed leaving the bat . . . but it would keep going and going and going. Fred Lynn had some of that, too.

I don’t understand how because he’s a shorter guy that his tool set isn’t projectile to most. I think it’s a dumb narrative that baseball needs to break because they are missing out on shorter players that can flat out ball because it is easier to go draft and sign the 6’3 because he’s “more projectable”
