I honestly was not expecting corbin to drop album this year, not even the next year as well probably and was completely fine with that, I've so much respect for him that I'm fine waiting 4 years for a new album or even more, because deep down you have that small hope and you know if he's going to drop something - it will be beautiful, what can heal your soul. Thanks for your music corbin and I really hope that you're feeling much better & happier.

I started from black silk ep next was leaving ep. I was in the most terrible time In my life. When I saw mourn that for me was literally I can say like “holy grail”. After that I’m alright but I was still waiting for new things. This guy killed me when he was 15 and now after 4 years this guy put on Spotify nice things. Now I fell like I was grown up with this man. I can only say here thanks for everything because this music save my fucking ass.

I love the fact that Corbin just makes music when he feels like making music. No big advertisement campaigns or marketing hype or whatever. He obviously doesn't make music for the money or clout. He just makes music when he feels like it. Big labels can go get lost. We don't want your money-based music business anymore. We want music that comes from people who make music to sing their hearts out because they love music and not money.

It's also scary when you make music without the intention to become a multi million selling artist having million of people follow your every step and recognize you, can be alot to deal with im sure he is somewhat afraid of to much exposure and in the end having to suffer through the negatives that come with all the people criticising you

It feels so surreal yet comforting that your music has always been on my side helping me through my darkest times for all these years now. I still vividly remember crying to songs like "Take the Blame so I don't have to" 7 years ago, then went through the worst situation when Mourn dropped. And now that life took an unfortunate turn for me again, this project drops all of a sudden and I know it'll get me through the day. I usually don't ever write comments, but right now I really feel the urge to say THANK YOU for all of the music you've put out. It helps me A LOT to cope with my pain and I want you to know that. So yeah, thanks Corbin!

I'll be honest, this album disappointed me at first but then I realized I was comparing this project too much to Mourn. When I lost a close relative last November, mourn was in a heavy rotation because that album perfectly encapsulated the emotions I was feeling at that time. Even then, it's like not I go to a friend's house and say "yo play Revenge Song by Corbin" because that's an isolated comfort song to me. A ghost with skin is an album to show your friends Corbin while Mourn is the album I can liquidate from. I am grateful to see a new Corbin project
@manicbeats93563 жыл бұрын
Although this album maybe isn't as refined or as intense as Mourn, it still definitely has it's dark and rough elements in my opinion. I see this album as a much prettier sounding and sometimes even more personal album. Mourn sounded very dark synth inspired, whereas this sounds very unique to Corbin. I wouldn't really say pop either personally, as it's still emo and incredibly unique

Lyrics - Corbin - Tell me Oh, tell me then, tell you're going through it, don't bite my hand Oh, tell me then, hard to cope when you've been snared by your past Oh, tell me then, tell me how your heart ripped open like that Oh, tell me then, don't lock the door, we belong together Show me then Know that you're broke, I can sign your cast Did you know you can fight back? Where do we go when it all goes black? I can feel your heart through your chest, are you okay? Just follow my breath, I can numb your pain, I can freeze it I am your dealer, broken like Seether Hoped that I was dreaming, yeah Rolling like a demon Roll your eyes back, now I can't see them Don't want you to go, no, I'm not ready Thought that we were going steady I know that life's depressing But it feels alright when you're next to me Oh, tell me then, tell you're going through it, don't bite my hand Oh, tell me then, hard to cope when you've been snared by your past Oh, tell me then, tell me how your heart ripped open like that Oh, tell me then, what do you slice that for? Told me you like the feeling Tore it all away, peel it back and see right through Know that it's time to pay You can tell the reaper to wait, I'm with you Baby, stick to me just like glue What you wish for, I'll make it come true Know that they say that you're wasting your youth What we really got to lose? My spine cracked, only wanna keep your mind intact Gotta find a way, gotta find that path I don't wanna stay, I wanna go back Back when we had each other Now we just cannon fodder Always at the end of the bottle Hold me while we sink to the bottom Tell me, do you think we're a problem? Tell me, do you wish for another? Oh, tell me then, tell you're going through it, don't bite my hand Oh, tell me then, hard to cope when you've been snared by your past Oh, tell me then, tell me how your heart ripped open like that I don't wanna see you bled out in anguish My life would be aimless

Corbin has been my favourite musician since 2015 when my boyfriend at the time showed me a without u remix. I ended up trying to find the original because I loved the vocals far more than the remix. I then fell down a rabbit hole of Lil' Spook and Spooky Black. Not long after my brother died of a drug overdose and the only thing that got me through was Corbin. I can't think of how my life would be without his lyrics and beautiful instrumentals. This person has reached inside my soul and dug deep. I can't really explain what it's like to have someone who can put your feelings and emotions into words. " If you want to know anything about me listen to their whole discography " Is usually what I say to people. They have such a way of saying exactly the right thing even if it hurts. This drop has once again reminded me I'm alive and a human that's hurting, but I am not alone. I haven't met anyone else that truly feels this way about a musician, let alone Corbin. I'd love to hear any stories any of you have. Thank you for the years of understanding and depth, Corbin. You will never stop amazing me and wrapping me up in the warmth that is your music.

i totally relate with you, when i found out this album dropped i almost cried before i ever even started listening to it. mourn got me through one of the lowest points in my life and the fact that i’m in a bad place again and he dropped this doesn’t feel like coincidence. the way he conveys emotion is unreal…it’s like he’s speaking for me

You basically put into words the exact things i struggle to describe about Corbin and his music and how much of a profound impact his music has had. you saying "If you want to know anything about me, listen to their whole discography" made me feel seen in my love and admiration for Corbin and his art. Thank YOU for writing this and I'm so terribly sorry for your loss. Corbin as helped me with a whole lot of grief and still does, and like you said, when this song dropped it's like a gentle reminder that you are alive and human and hurting but you aren't alone. Corbin has been the only artist I've listened to in my life who consistently and repeatedly reaches out and touches the broken parts of my heart with such gentle and kind hands. I see you and feel you, and Corbin sees and feels us. Again, thank you for sharing your experience.

Told me you like the feeling [Verse 2] Tore it all away, peel it back and see right through Know that it's time to pay You can tell the reaper to wait, I'm with you Baby, stick to me just like glue What you wish for, I'll make it come true Know that they say that you're wasting your youth What we really got to lose? My spine cracked, only wanna keep your mind intact Gotta find a way, gotta find that path I don't wanna stay, I wanna go back Back when we had each other Now we just cannon fodder Always at the end of the bottle Hold me while we sink to the bottom Tell me, do you think we're a problem? Tell me, do you wish for another? [Chorus] Oh, tell me then, tell you're going through it, don't bite my hand Oh, tell me then, hard to cope when you've been snared by your past Oh, tell me then, tell me how your heart ripped open like that I don't wanna see you bled out in anguish My life would be aimless

Almost started crying while watching this video. Corbin was looking like game character dragging that heavy weapon with him all the way like memories. That video is a masterpiece. Greetings from Holand.

My cousin shot himself 6 months ago. We were like brothers. Our favorite video game to play growing up as kids was dark alliance on PS2. This music video makes me think of that and him.Such a good song. It hurts but it helps.

"dont lock the door we belong together" and "i know that lifes depressing but it feels alr when ur next to me" "did you know you can fight back" are so beautiful and 100% relatable to so many ppl including myself. when your with sum1 who you absolutely adore and sum1 who makes you feel complete you feel like you can do anything bc ur body and mind stops aching when their around but its hard when that persons broken, its hard when that persons constantly fighting demons they've dealt with for years bc they start projecting all of that pent up anger and a lot of the time that anger blinds them. and in moments of anger it blinds them from seeing that we truly love and need them. they also use the most inappropriate amount of anger which completely and unnecessarily escalates the situation thats what i thought about when corbin said "now we just cannon fodder". i feel like im speaking for so many ppl but maybe im taking it personal bc my gfs a trauma holder and this song describes shit so perfectly. like its no where near their fault its just heartbreaking to think abt losing sum1 who only brought out the good in you and made you the happiest youve been in awhile, bc of the pain they endured before you came into their life. but thats why you keep trying and never give up on a person like that bc although it may not seem like it, all they've ever wanted and needed was sum1 to be there with them every step of the way and sum1 who will continue to love them unconditionally for the rest of time. but most importantly, they needed sum1 to protect them from themselves. i hope all of this makes sense and i hope at least 1 person can relate. im sorry if i sound dumb asf. i wish i could explain better but im not good at these typa things. anyways, i love you so much corbin and thank you for everything, we truly appreciate you.🖤

That’s a beautiful explanation and perspective of this song. It speaks so much more to me now thinking about it in this way. I’m going thru the same thing with my girl, some days it’s amazing, others the trauma can be difficult to handle. I’m still trying anf we’ve made a ton of progress. Sometimes my “spine cracks” trying to keep her intact. I think it’s all going to work out in the end. I love her
