Written by Tom Russel, became popular by Dave Alvin, this is a great cover. I'm from Washington and know all these places!

Nice song… glad someone is actually still doing true country songs… reminds me of some of Ian Tyson’s story songs

I'm in Yuma Arizona, my Canadian snowbirds turned me onto you! Your version of "Seven Spanish Angels" is my favorite version of that song, hands down! I love the "Blue Bird" song! I'm in an RV Park! I pray I'm nor alone when I die, that Noone knows my name! No one to cry! I'm in Yuma, so I'm thinking I'll be "Dust In The Wind"! Lol! Yup, Kansas song!

Awesome singing it, Corb. Awesome writing it, Russell. I loved it, it made me sad but then it made me LOL at the end I did not expect him to start singing from inside his coffin - a brilliant, unexpected ending x

Love the song. I think the main person in the song is Native American, it makes sense with what he talks about.
@marshallferron2 жыл бұрын
Yeah or possibly an Alaskan Native/Inuit/Eskimo since it talks about his father's father's crossing the Bering Sea. The ancestors of the Native Americans also crossed there but there was land when they did
@caseysmith5442 жыл бұрын
@@marshallferron Yep to the modern Current Native American DNA. There were people before the big glacier that caused a food shortage for the first set of people in North America to starve, the top people not sure where they come from or if they could even have had kids with those from Africa, Europe, and Asia continents at the time as so little of them have been found dating from Prior to 15,00 to 20,00 years ago with not enough to do testing on.
