Corcovado 2014 - Hike Carate, la Sirena, los Patos.

Thank you for this video. Me and my friend are planning to hike Los Patos-Sirena-Leona, I was wondering about your shape. I know Los Patos is a very difficult trail but you guys look pretty well even at the end. Would you recommend anything particular to be able to hike this? I am used to hiking in Alpes or Carpathians high mountains but have never hiked such a long distance (Los Patos to Sirena is 23km I think). Also, didn't you get insect bites when you wore shorts (I wonder if it's better to pack long sleeves and light trousers or shorts are just fine?). Thank you in advance for any precious advice.
