We stayed at Luna Lodge 13 years ago. The most magical place I've ever been in terms of wildlife, being remote, and beauty. Corcovado was beyond amazing. May it never change.

Going there was the craziest experience in my life. We saw so much wildlife, that just half of it wouldve had me blown away. Carlos was such an amazing guide.

We were fortunate enough to have the same guide in November 2023. Milton was awesome. I was clicking on random videos of the park and was excited to see him. If you see him as your guide know it will be a great time.

Wooouuu! You made it far into the jungle! one of the most beautiful parks of Costa Rica. Good memories there, when I used to be a park ranger and now as a tour guide. Glad you made it down there. Corcovado could be considered the Deluxe Natural Jungle Resort for hundreds of species of plants and animal. Thank you for showing this remote part of Costa Rica

Isn't going into this jungle Dangerous? Wild cats, snakes, poisonous spiders, etc. ?? It seems sort of risky.. or maybe I am overreacting.

Brings back memories. Way back in 1990 three of us 19, 23 and 28 years old got the bus from San Jose down south, another bus to Sierpe, small boat downriver to Bahia Draké. Then we walked from there to San Pedrillo Ranger Station. We got lost on the final stretch and were walking in the incoming tide among mangroves. We were so tired when we arrived that we stayed an extra day there, then walked to Sirena. We were advised to keep the pace up in order to be able to ford all three rivers at or around low tide. We all ran out of water and the long stretch along the sand was the hardest thing I've ever had to do. Is it true you are not allowed to enter the park without a guide these days? We separated on the way out. I walked out alone from Sirena to Los Patos only losing my way once because so many trees had come down after a storm, effectively obliterating the trail. From there it was another day's hard hike in the heat from Los Patos to La Palma. I can't believe you were okay walking with so much skin exposed! The mosquitoes were a nightmare for us. Did you not get bitten?

That's true. These days, you can only enter the park with a guide
