That was in the 80s. I'm not hooking power strip on power strip. I need an average of 5-6 plus every 5 feet.

Great video and great rig. I know you made a video on how to fly speakers from truss, but I can`t find it anymore. Can you please link to it, or upload it again? Thanks and keep up the good work.

Nice clean setup ! How about insted of the power strips build your own power supply to put on the trussing? Use the 4 outlet boxes linked to each other all across the truss every couple feet? The guy i get my speakers from told me the fire marshal's frown upon power strips and them ungodly orange cords, which i assume pretty much any color cord is similar to the orange. I don't doubt him one bit since he used to do sound for alot of concerts... back in the 80s. Great rig you got there !

Great video; thx! Where did you get these multi-outlet power cords? Are they also available in EU format?

Awesome, Arnoldo, where can I but those moxc cords. Been looking online but can't seem to find them. Greetings from California.

Nice Tip bro, thanks for posting

As discussed, this can be done without power linking, it's just a tad more difficult. Your idea works well, too!

Hey Arnoldo great video! Where can I pick up these "moxc" cables? I just bought the light bridge system by ADJ and wanna pre-wire it! Thanx for making some great vids!

Thanks! I took it off because too many people took it as a HOW TO vs a demo!

How many watts are you running total on your truss? Are you using more than one 12 ga extension cord?
@njflip63627 жыл бұрын
Hi. Can u pls tell me where can i get the multi extension? Thanks
@GearItFirst12 жыл бұрын
No, we use ACC for safety cables.

*giggidy* gotta love it arnoldo :). Great tips!
@GearItFirst11 жыл бұрын
Total was 7AMPS... multiply it by 120V and there's yer answer. :) Only one extension cord was needed, as the lights were mostly power-linked!

I've found using 4" & 6" ball type bungee cords is even easier than the tie wraps. They are very cheap and also reusable.

for wire management, it a lot more expensive but i do everything with wireless dmx (i prefer the show baby transceivers) and for power i had truss made custom for me so there are power cables and outlets running through the truss so there is very little cable that shows, it works ver well if you have the extra money to do it.
@GearItFirst9 жыл бұрын
Custom runs doesn't work if you have different setups every weekend.
@KrypticTyphoon9 жыл бұрын
That's true if all your truss isn't custom, all of mine is
@GearItFirst9 жыл бұрын
Custom truss? Where from?
@KrypticTyphoon9 жыл бұрын
i had a friend make it for me, he does a lot of stuff like that, he just ran wires thought the truss and put outlets on it so i just plug the truss in for power along the whole thing.

Arnoldo, What clamps are you using to hold on your wireless DMX? I purchased some of the Global Truss mini 360 clamps for f14, and while it fit the webbing on my f34 fine, the bolt is too small to thread in my wireless dmx or the truss lighting fixture I was planning on using. These both only accept m10 and m12. Didn't know if you used a different clamp, or if your wireless received just accepted bolts that small. Thanks in advance!
@GearItFirst9 жыл бұрын
That's what I use. The bolt fits my WiFLY just fine. Which wireless do you have?
@sixstylez6229 жыл бұрын
Arnoldo Offermann I've got the Chauvet D-Fi. The D-Fi unit and the Chauvet DJ Wedge tri will only fit M10 and M12 bolts. Which is what all of my other global clamps have. They don't come with any brackets to attach, the bolts just screw right in them. But the F14 mounting bolt is much smaller. Does the WIFLY come with a bracket that you just attach to with a wing nut?
@GearItFirst9 жыл бұрын
derek ferguson I use the the Mini 360 F14 to mount my WiFly units. :) It comes with a bracket!

she goes step by step and she plugs in the powered fixtures one by one to ensure they work. she explains that in the early portion of the video so thats why they aren't all plugged in at the same time.

I don't use cables because I have 10 jelly pars and wireless dmx
@GearItFirst8 жыл бұрын
Not every light is wireless and battery operated.
@GearItFirst8 жыл бұрын
The Jelly Pars aren't wireless, so you're still using cables to connect them to a wireless DMX box.
