Cord to Cordless Chainsaw Conversion from 110V to 40V by Rewinding

This is old project that I have done last few months, the video length is a bit long, the viewer takes time and get boring to understand this project. So I reedit it to save viewers time and understand it easily. One more thing is the power, after using it few weeks I realize that 18V battery is not enough for this chainsaw. Those gouges in the armature stack (you can see clearly around 10:55) are done after everything else to balance the motor. To completely rewind the motor and not re-balance it is a mistake. You see at 12:20 he is balancing the motor by adding a bit of hard epoxy to one side.

An electrical chainsaw is better than the petrol one. It is not needed to start the engine every time you would like to cut off some stuff

I was running this saw for about 2 hours at about a 30-50% duty cycle kzbin.infoUgkxfQm1wmg0ItKDLavxj1nXtQY9HP7EF504 and it did a great job. I used the lever for the built in sharpener to clear chip buildup out more than to actually sharpen the chain. It managed to cut some hardwood stumps much larger than it's size without bothering the neighbors with hours of 2 stroke noise.
