Can't you already watch Amazon Prime with your fire stick without Matter Casting? Why does your phone have to be involved?

Yes you can, assuming the person has an Amazon Prime account. I have a few friends that refuse to pay for it with all the prince increases lately. Whereas if you're at a friend's house that doesn't have it, you can use your phone to allow them to watch without sharing your login credentials. But I think the big benefit will happen when they add more apps that may not be available on the FireStick. Let's see what happens.

I kinda agree with the last comment. If you have prime on the TV what's the point. Now if you could get this to cast to a Meta3 headset it would be fantastic. If you ever get this to work I'd be happier than a pig in shit lol

I forgot to mention this in the video, but the biggest reason I can think of, it the Storage space savings on not having to install the Prime Video App on the Firestick. We all know how short on storage these things are. That will be an even bigger deal once they add more services & apps to Matter Casting.

@chriselkinsjordan42073 Well, as we all know, the Firesticks never have enough storage. The Prime Video app takes up a good deal of that space. With this, you could save that space. Plus, when they add other services, the more they add, the less you'd need to install on the Firestick. 🤷‍♂️

True I forgot about that there is a little bit more space on the newer fire sticks and the cubes but some people can't afford the new sticks and the cube that is also good when you don't have to install a lot of apps
