Protip.... Make a couple of bungs for either end of your hose to prevent dust falling out during transport. the extractor has an attached bung so making a couple for the hose too is a no brainer. NB. Best place to put the remote is around the far end of the hose that way it'll always be right on whatever tool you're using.

I used that extractor on my table saw mitre saw and plunge saw. As a hoover I find it useless but on the tool it’s spot on. 9ah for run time I find is better. Worth buying. Also I strap the remote to the tool I’m using.

Been using it for about a week just for cleaning and its been very useful, the 6ah batteries run out quite fast but thats to be expected. Not had a chance to try it out on any tools yet. Not sure if I am doing something wrong but I find the bag fit is very bad. The unit was beeping because the bag was full but once out there was still lots of space, probably a third left to fill. Couldn't get the top back on without spreading the contents of the bag evenly or it just obstructed the filters. Almost seems like the bag needs to be slightly smaller or the bottom of the unit needs to be bigger. UPDATE: I recommend against buying this. Been using for a few weeks on a mitre saw and the bags will only fill halfway before needing to be changed due to terrible design as I mentioned before, absolute rip off.
@richardcapey-wade8191

I've found best way is to have a few bags, fill them all, then empty them somewhere safely and reuse, easily get half a dozen uses from each bag with no fall in collection/suction rate, but manufactureer wont tell you that,wonder why. Becomes quite economical then.

How long a vacuum hose would it have to be for you to need a remote on your wrist that has a range of 30 metres? My guess, and I am just guessing here, a ridiculous 30 metres or so. Whatever happened to having a ‘Henry’ within arms reach and duct taping the hose to fit the tool’s dust extractor?

Hi SB team. I'd like to vote for a shop vac throw-down show down. A comparison of multiple shop vacs. I own two regular shop vacs and also have a Festool CT-26. My shop vacs suck, and I (still) hate them. They're poorly made - tops pop off when I go to lift them, tool racks have to be screwed in to the plastic siding or they'll pop off. I have to wear ear protection when using them because their miniature motors scream when powered on. They're top heavy and tip easily unless nearly full. And finally, their vacuum power is weaker than it should be for the cacophony of noise they make (I'd accept loud if they really sucked). Can you save us SB team? Can you find shop vacs that really add dust to our collections? Thanks in advance.

I had the same issue. I was using an attachment for cleaning which reduced the the hose end and it would beep like mad if set to 32, on 20 it was fine. I guess it feels the restriction and assumes there is a blockage. I have not attached it to any tools yet so not sure if I will get the same issue then, I really hope not. Everyone shouts fire when it starts beeping, it was funny the first few times but not anymore :)

@settlors 4 жыл бұрын
@@rob8978 The bumping is to self clean the filters. It's a wonderful feature to prevent clogs. The device taps the hepa filters every few minutes, totally normal self cleaning function. Trust me, I had a $1,000 extractor that didn't have a bump feature and it required new filters every other month, it sucked.
@rob8978
@rob8978 4 жыл бұрын
@@settlors Was talking about the beeping. The bumping is a great idea but the rest of the unit is badly designed imo. Bags fit badly, partly due to how the filters share the same space and the tube comes in side which blocks easily. I have only been using it for cleaning so I guess it will be fine when using on tools and it's just sucking dust.
@settlors
@settlors 4 жыл бұрын
Corbit Don’t use it for cleaning, that’s a bad investment. Buy a $75 shop vac for that and save your hepa bags and filters for your dust extractor

Marcus Leach sounds like you are not familiar with dust separators like dust deputy, same concept here the vacuum it’s designed to create a vortex to keep dust away from filters. Thats why filters are in the middle and tube entrance place the way to create the vortex. This is a small portable dust extractor its not designed to vacuum big debris cause hose is kind of thin. Overall I’m happy with mine. Its been great I love it.
