Really digging your channel man. I’m building a 10600K system with a GTX 1070 and 32 GBs of memory for my final episode of Ultra Budget Builds. It’s a series I started where the first build costs $156 bucks then I flip it, and whatever I sell the machine for plus any cash left over is the max I can spend on the next episode. This new budget is $700 so it will be the best build yet. ANYWAY - thanks for all the great knowledge!! I’m ok at overclocking but light years from being an expert!!! I’d really like to learn what everything in the BIOS does but it’s hard with so much info out there. Thanks again bro!!!

Very nice! I tried AI OC for the first time on 10900K and I was very impressed too. I think especially the fact it will configure a dynamic OC (with few cores at higher frequency) is really helping to maximize performance.
Nice! I think your chip should be better than mine! I needed a significant voltage increase to squeeze additional MHz over 49X

Hey just found your channel! Great vid, clear and concise! 💓 So basically no matter which OC method you use, setting Package temp threshold to 90 is the way to go? Depending on cooling solution of course. Just like you I like that feature too. One quick question tho, I have a Mach V Falcon Northwest case I wanted to use, great case and well engineered IMHO, but only downside to this case is there's not much room for a AIO cooler other than a 120 mm one. Prolly will get a modern case down the line, but for now that is what I'm planning to use for a new build; i7-11700k with the ROG Max XIII Hero (ye I know crappy i7 but the i5 was sold out and out of stock at that time). So what I'm getting at is, with basically standard AIO cooling with the Mach V if I use the Package Temp threshold feature set to 90 can I still get a decent semi OC with this build? At least for now? Thx again for the vid! 🥰

Hello Skatter Bencher! I just started subscribing - Love your no - nonsense and no BS videos!!! How close are the values you show for the 700k VS 11900K, for Maximus XIII Hero? I ask because I'd be very satisfied to get my 11900k running at 5.3 or even 5.2 - just wondered how much of this would carry over to my 900k?? Would be very grateful if you could do a dedicated video for the Maximus XIII Hero\11900k - I tried following your Tachyon video but the selections are much different in Asus Extreme Tweaker!!! Hope you see this comment...! Pretty Pleas W\Sugar :)
@SkatterBencher3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the kind words and subscription Steve! Generally, you can follow the process from this video and apply it to the 11900K. Each of the OC strategies can be applied across all SKUs from a certain product line. Some CPUs will have one or two additional tricks (like Intel Adaptive Boost Technology on 11900K), but big picture it's similar. Of course the overclocking mileage will vary depending on the CPU quality and silicon lottery. I will return to the ROG series + 11900K, but it will be the APEX and the Cryo cooling. Other than that I have no fixed plans to revisit Rocket Lake ... it will depend on how much free time I have :)

Hello I need help, I did everything as on your site to overclock the 11600K and it still max works on 4600 on all cores, are there any more locks that need to be removed?
@pina3613 Жыл бұрын
my i5-11600K has Sp of 56. I have it overclocked to 5.1Ghz all cores and 5.2Ghz on dual cores using 1.5v (it doesn't use more than 1.48v in use, for some reason). I have done several benches and it hasn't given me any problems, but I thought that above 5Ghz on this i5 was already an achievement and 5.1Ghz I thought was impossible. I tried 5.2Ghz all cores but it's not possible. I would like to know your opinion.
@mothraman31952 жыл бұрын
I never hit 5.1 on any core no matter what, same setup too with a little faster RAM, with this OC guide I only hit barely 4.9 all cores, AI OC was lower by a few hundred mHz but used way less wattage and never got close to the high 80's in a stress test. I've been running stock setup for a year and have not cared to get this thing as hot as hell for a few fps or small gain in a benchmark. I only have a 240 AIO so this pc was just getting to hot for my tastes, maybe a custom loop is the way to go?

I would like to overclock my 11600k aswell but haven't been able to find any good information on it yet? And the only increase I've seen in performance is like a 4 or 5fps increase, also are u getting 5.1ghz all core?. And I just bought the 11600k, and the MSI Z490 MPG Gaming Edge Wifi, any recommendations do u think I could get it to 5ghz all core? I'm using a MSI MAG Coreliquid 240r AIO, and even gaming for hours I've never seen it go over 37°c
@SkatterBencher3 жыл бұрын
I only achieved 50X all core and 51X for one core. Considering the power consumption for a six core Rocket Lake is not as high as the 8 core parts, I think a good AIO should already give you a lot of OC headroom 5G all core (for light to medium multithreaded workloads) ... not impossible!

Why XMP 1 and not XMP 2?
@SkatterBencher3 жыл бұрын
I use the settings interchangeably since most of the time it doesn't matter which is used. For your information: - XMP I only loads the XMP primary memory timings (tCL, tRCD, tRP, tRAS). The board then adjusts the BCLK frequency and other memory parameters according to the motherboard auto-rules. - XMP II loads the complete XMP profile
