The initial capacity of HashSet is 16 . When the load factor (0.75) is reached, i.e. 16 * 0.75 = 12 ; on the insertion of the 12th element the capacity is doubled , i.e. it becomes 32 .

Hello, @ Harshal Temkar. It is an excellent question. If the collection of ArrayList is the collection object for HashSet, then it will ignore the duplicates. Only unique values will get printed. Check the below example program and output. ArrayList AL = new ArrayList(); AL.add("Hello"); AL.add("Welcome"); AL.add(1.75f); AL.add('e'); AL.add("Welcome"); System.out.println(AL); HashSet H = new HashSet(AL); System.out.println(H); Output: [Hello, Welcome, 1.75, e, Welcome] [1.75, Hello, e, Welcome]

Hi, Thanks a lot for sharing the awesome knowledge regarding the Java Collection. You are the true genius for the Java, no doubt for that. But I have a small disagreement regarding the position of 'Cache' memory in computer system. Cache memory is placed between the Processor and the Primary memory. Cache memory basically helps the system to make balance between the fast speed processor and memory, not for making balance between Primary memory and secondary storage. Thanks.
