Nice Tutorial Steven! Thank you! Not sure if "Rounded Contour Edges" was available in x5 or not, but in x6 you can use the rounded edges when creating contours to eliminate/smooth a lot of those sharp edges/jags around the eagle. (would make it softer) Just have to make sure it doesn't round it too much and make the points around the claws/flag not flow together properly.

Corel X5 did not have the round corner option in the countour docker. I was very happy when they added it in X6 though! You can also use the filet tool to round out nodes. Thanks for the comment and feedback - make sure to subscribe to the channel!

Steve does this only work when you bring the image in as a Photoshop image? I cannot seem to do this with x7. Im pretty green with x7 still any tips for doing this with it?

it should as long as you convert it to a bitmap once it is in Corel

The loop d loop was a violation of the post script winding path rule. that was the problem. it's a PS thing not a corel thing.

No point to tracing the full color image when you can fill it with a single color in Paint then copy that over for tracing. Save yourself the hassle of dealing with all the extra vector objects and potential trace errors.
