Hey! Enjoyed the video as always. Two things come to mind regarding why this wasn’t as fun for you as usual, and they actually interact. 1. They removed penalties in exchange for score boost. My guess is that this was in response to people not liking it during Battle Ranking, but I felt like it was different for Dungeon Ranking, because you could strategize around when took the penalties and which ones you took (e.g., kill harder bosses and THEN take the penalties for score boost). Now, it’s just “how will you buff yourself,” which I actually thought I would like more, but it didn’t feel more or less fun for me tbh. 2. Your water Tifa is bonkers strong (which you know). Back when they were doing penalties for score boost, this would have been a prime opportunity for you to do a full score boost run and still feel challenged. But, without that, it’s what you described - just blow it up and walk away. In contrast, I’m running the same three characters for mine, but my Tifa has OB3 Bunny Gloves, OB3 Feather Gloves, and the Bahamut costume instead of the arcanum. Wayyyyyyyyy different run 🤣 I know we’ve talked about the probability of me pulling for water Sephiroth, but this dungeon ranking isn’t gonna trick me into pulling before I see the last two costumes. So, this will be my setup. Almost nothing dies before the attacks get off lol Anyway, I’m glad they brought dungeon ranking back and are trying new things. I hope they keep the difficulty format (same dungeon, just harder enemies, which is probably way easier on the devs), but I hope they bring back penalties with score boosts.

@@jace743 I think you're totally right about this. I forgot all about those penalty multipliers! Still feels like they are struggling to find the balance between OGs and new players.

Thank you for the video! It should help me improve my score for sure. I had problems with EX Boss (Masamune Swordsmith), but getting the Score Bonus you suggested might just be the thing I needed (-1ATB). Also thanks for showing the additional options at the start! I didn't know they added some of them, and it will be a nice QoL (Quality of Life) improvement for me!

Man I'm happy around rank 420 something. Level 105ish and never touched a red crystal (pay even though I would if I was rich) and had some luck like last day pull of Aerith's Bahamut cloak with remaining blue crystals. I never been in a top 500-600 before.

Considering breaking my ‘don’t use wp’s on non limited weapons’ rule to get Tifa feathered gloves ob6 to score better.. gonna wait til tomorrow after 1.5x free pull and wp’s quest to see if I dipped any lower than rank 13.. really wanna get top 20 on my first dungeon ranking. It’s not a badddd weapon to upgrade at all, and it’s in fact my only tifa dps weapon not ob6+. My thoght is to give her Levi instead of Seph to boost water damage high to take out 🐸 fight quicker it’s the only one I’m not nearing score optimization for. Would be less than 50 wp’s I have 148 now will get some from daily quest tomorrow. It’s just that I would hate to toss two weapon vouchers on it with over 150 wp’s tomorrow

Think you missed the improvements you can save before eash boss to max your score on it , im rank 5th at the moment and there is a bit of fun in min maxing the speed and testing with no heals or vangel veil to take no damage.

@@Nitelight9 They meant literally a "Save" button that allows you to save the current state of the dungeon. So you can load it, if the fight goes badly, instead of starting all over again. Edit: I remember that they announced the save option, but totally forgot about it until this comment here. So I appreciate it very much.

for the triple boss, try to debuff all 3 with Cait b4 you pop the summon

I have tried that, but wasn't very successful with killing any of them when I tried it bc the first move happens so quickly. Maybe I'm doing it wrong? Quite possible. Obv I screwed up the run you see. But in my "normal" runs, I was able to kill each one singly before any of them got a move off.

That might require cait’s banner ultimate weapon with haste. I’ve done with that though. Also, if you go tank > tentacle > mobs > trio you can get a 100% multi-target buff from the tentacle to help one shot the trio with the leviathan if they all had water resist before any of them get off an attack.

My game keeps on crashing during the Leviathan summon, so I’ve had two runs where my Leviathan summon just never came out because of it.

Did you use moogle dance directly before Levi? Guild mate had this issue in last guild battle. Submit a ticket with video of crash if possible o/

@@alchalant4663 It was Mindblow. And the game has been crashing frequently for me. Phone might be getting old.

It crashes due to movement speed I believe..same thing was happening to me so I set it to default
