Corey Haim could be a poster boy for child actors who fail to launch as adults. This innocent from Canada quickly reached the heights of Hollywood fame only to fall just as fast.

The movie in 1987 was called The Lost Boys and I saw that movie when I was a kid classic 80s and its sad that he died of a bad heart and he surrounded himself with emotional abusers and attackers and vampires that wanted his money. There alot of bad people in Hollywood and its sad what has happened to these people now. Child Stars who died young so many of them. RIP Corey Haim.

I was the stand-in for actors on a show called Big Wolf on Campus. Quite a few famous actors guest starred on the show. One of those actors was Corey Haim. The moment I met him I could tell he was a fragile soul who had been through hell. His dad was there and to be honest the vibe was just off. I ended up hanging out with him one evening at a wrap party and he wasn't drinking and was not visibly under the influence of any drugs. He was a really nice person. It was obvious how by me showing him some kindness that night he truly didn't have anyone he could trust as we talked for quite a while and he seemed to sense I was actually listening and didn't want anything from him. I was very saddened by his passing. Hollywood is truly disgusting.

I loved that show, watched it religiously and I remember the episode Haim was on. I remember Feldman on the show, too. That was back when I still liked Feldman and didn't realize how horrible he was. Edit: wow...this guy didn't really do enough research. Haim wasn't fired by Feldman because he was high, he left the set because Feldman had hired his abuser to work along side him, KNOWING that Brascia was the guy who did it. Feldman always knew, he was the one who set it up. And Haim didn't have the idea for a reality show, Feldman did, and came and got Haim to ride off his coattails once again, and he did everything in his power to make himself look like the good guy and Haim look like a loser, despite Haim being sober at the time. It's not surprising Haim wasn't drinking when you met him, because on that reality show, he kept saying he couldn't drink alcohol when people were accusing him of it (with manipulation from Feldman). Feldman had complete control of the reality show, and some control over the Lifetime movie that dragged Haim through the dirt.

@@cocobutter3175 I know I can do my own research but is this really true? Because if it is that’s really crazy and that definitely puts a new light on Feldman for me. @@mandjinc.7036 There's a whole Feldman rabbit hole. I've been to the very depths of it. He kept saying "I have all these names of Hollywood p*d*s, but I can't give them to you, or they'll have me k*lled/ they'll sue me/ unless you give me a million dollars!". So I started researching trying to figure out the names myself. I read his book, watched every interview and video he put out, I figured out the names, but I also started noticing inconsistencies in his stories. Then I started listening to the testimonies of everyone who worked with him, especially the angels. People online have put together videos about all his lies, and interviews with the angels on YT, you can look for them, but I wish there was one place for absolutely everything to make it easier to find. If Bobby Wolfe's channel is still around, it was a great place to find info. Corey Haim's mom and sister have also refuted some of the lies Corey Feldman tells.

When my son was 12 years old, i took him to audition at "lights camera, action " in San Francisco. Out of 700 auditions only 70 were picked. My son was one of them. I took him to a few acting training classes that weren't free and expensive. But my son at first liked it. After the 3rd class my son told me the young male trainer teaching the class was giving my son weird vibes and my son didn't want to go to Hollywood or pay for an agent. So i took him out. It's good you truly could see that your child's didn't like the situation he was in even if he had an interest in acting at the time. Many other parent/s would just have been about what fame and fortune could bring for their family but while not knowing or understanding the dark side of Hollywood at the time especially concerning for kids/young teens, you still had the foresight to listen to your child and leave that environment putting your child's best interest before anything else. So despite some unnecessarily accusing you of being the driving force in your child's momentarily interest in the acting industry, you proved to be different by how you handle the situation by removing your son instantly from harm once he told you about his acting coach.

For a long time, in Hollywood, and much of the entertainment industry, child stars have been abused and neglected, whether it was by other celebrities, their family members, or those that work in the industry. When a child stars like Corey Haim came to his mother and that he is being molested and abused, and she refuses to believe his story and such, it's because she did not want to lose her "meal ticket" and her her pride of being a mother of a movie star.

But there will always be evil parents who are willing to prostitute their own kids for money. Michael Jackson was a pedophile. He was paying the parents of those little kids to stay with him at his home & "sleep" with him. Those parents knew damn well what was going on......they just wanted the money. And when one of those parents demanded even more money & Jackson refused, they turned on him & ratted him out. That's EXACTLY how that really went down. Yet every other actor & mainstream music star stood in Jackson's defense......because all of those evil wicked pedophiles in the mainstream entertainment industry stick together.

What is often far wore than sexual abuse is the denial of that abuse. Coreys friends, sister AND mother said he wasnt abused by Charlie, but how would they know ? They forget that abuse happens in PRIVATE. Corey being gaslit over something so serious and life altering would have compounded his need to escape through addiction. Hollywood is full of predators

I do believe he was sexuality molested which is so hard to get through.. coming from 1 survivor as well.. that stays with you for life, and what upset me was Corey Feldman introduced him to his abuser.. like wth? I was born in 1978 so I grew up watching the 2 Corey's films. Had the biggest crush on Haim and I hate that he went through so much trauma and abuse. It's amazing he lived as long as he did honestly, considering the people that would benefit from him being silent about the industry. God bless him and all victims of that sick industry. They get them young, use them, make money off then, abuse them, pass them around, and spit them out, they then destroy themselves in the end to get through what they suffered! Look at Ananda Bynes, countless more too! Parents are at fault here too, protect your kids and stop living your dreams of stardom through your kids! RIP Corey Haim 🙏❤️

Eventually, I needed open heart surgery at 37, and got clean after that. 2 years ago, while 2 years sober, I got flu like symptoms and called my mom. She came over and found me on the ground. Got an ambulance. I had pneumonia and sepsis, and was in ICU on a ventilator. Was given a slim chance to live, but I got through it after 6months there. Now Im still clean trying to get my life back in order. Doing well. It just hurts to hear these stories.

BEYOND hurts my heart to this day, knowing in my soul everything that happened to him and so much worse. Trauma bonding to some early abusers and all. Dominic Brascia died by suicide in his apartment in Bozeman, MT in 2018. He knew the truth was coming out soon enough and ended his own life so as not to face the ramifications of what he did. He tried to get away from Hollywood and became a quasi-producer for the Armstrong and Getty Radio Show in Sacramento, but that was short-lived as soon as the show's head hauncho's found out about his dark past and fired him. A&G tried to distance themselves as far as they could from this creep and never spoke about him. It was like one day he was on air chatting it up and the next day radio silence and nothing was said about his departure. I don't blame A&G one bit though for not giving this creep a mention. He tried to host a podcast from his apartment in Sacramento for a short while then moved to Montana, working for some radio station there as an associate producer. I hate to say this, but I think Corey Feldman was a Frenemy. Now that I'm older I see it a little more clearly. He attached himself to Cory Haim because Corey Haim was surpassing him and getting a lot of lead roles; Haim had a beautiful face, was very talented, and had a special kind of light that came from within. This is why Feldman needed the two Corey's to be a thing because he wouldn't have sustained a consistent career on his own like Haim could have; Haim didn't need Feldman. Essentially, in my opinion, he strategically got close to Haim and used him for his own personal gain. As long as he could hang on to Corey Haim's coat tales, he wouldn't be left in the dust. But as much as he needed Haim it didn't take away his envy of Haim underneath it all. He purposely sabotaged his life in cruel ways, which started Corey Haim's spiral. I truly think that watching Haim be traumatized, drug-addicted, and mentally unraveling made Feldman feel better about himself. Corey Haim's character was being destroyed and it seems like he liked the fact that Haim was no longer "special" in other people's eyes and was no longer getting steady work. He knew he could never measure up to Corey Haim as a person. The mindset of a frenemy is very hard to imagine but people like this are out there. Corey Haim is like a little light that got dimmed and essentially snuffed out. It honestly makes me super sad😔 People are snakes!

Change the scenario from a job and industry to simply, what would you do to be made a millionaire. That is ultimately what is happening here. What would you be willing to do for 1, 5, 10, 20...100 million dollars? I'm not mitigating it, but we cry foul that entities in hollywood are giving people multimillion dollar movie roles to get their dick sucked. Yet we don't bat an eye to the government offering bonuses and free college to kids to go off and fight in corporate sponsored wars to die and be maimed, endure the stress of combat then receive little if any support for the trauma they suffer. It's exploitative. You have recruiters that straight up lie to you to get you to sign on the dotted line. Then will tell you to lie about things to ensure you get enlisted. Then when you get to MEP's they make you sign a document attesting that "no one told you to lie about anything". Particularly for the poor that lack opportunity. Yet you have people fight tooth and nail against anyone that dare disparage the military. Call you "unamerican" or a traitor. I was one of those dumb kids. In hindsight. I would have rather sucked a dick for free college than join the Army. Because that college education was anything but "free".

As an artist developer for actors and musicians in the industry and as a teen musician/actor of the 80s, the general public truly has no clue to how much tragic sexual molestation, rape and drug use went on in the industry in those years and how tragically how few of the top predators got away with it and never served time. Luckily I was never into drugs, but was definitely in situations with predator molesters and luckily was fortunate then most. I met Corey Haim right after the premiere of Lost Boys and though I don't know him well I have seen the damage of the industry at that time. I went to high school with several celebs .. including Scott Weiland of Stone Temple who died of drug overdose, Nicole Eggert of Bay Watch and Charles and Charge fame who also dealt with sexual molestation by Scott Baio and others, several other artists. As an artist developer now I teach all my actors/musicians and models how to protect themselves. Sadly a few of my male models had casting situation with predators. It is a tragic reality of the arts. I am also infuriated when victims come out like Corey Haim, Corey Feldman and others and the media immediately attacks them as being out for publicity . Sexual molestation and rape can have lasting life long consequences and guys in general also have the stigma to keep quiet more so I feel than the ladies. The casting couch has been around since the beginning of film and as a film historian I'm always saddened to learn at just how many famous male actors were victims of sexual manipulation, rape or molestation. Others include: James Dean, Rock Hudson, Monty Clift, Clark Gable, Drake Bell, Matt Lawrence, James Van der Beek, Nigel Barker, Elijah Wood, Todd Bridges, Tyler Perry, Henry Rollins, Joey Lawrence, Rory Calhoun, Jamie Fox and 1000s of others

Corey Haim did not die of a drug overdose! Watch his autopsy results on KZbin! Corey had an undiagnosed heart condition that caused pain in his back and shoulder! That is when doctors put him on pain meds! He died of Pneumonia effecting his heart. There were no unprescribed meds in his system and no doses that were more than prescribed! Check your facts before you destroy someone’s reputation!

He WAS a drug addict tho, so i don't think you can argue that people saying he died from his addiction is "ruining his reputation". Also, addiction is a disease same as any other & it's a shame it's still so stigmatised that is thought of as something shameful, that will ruin a good reputation 😓

Gary Coleman was another huge star back in the 70s and 80s and his parents took all of his money in which he made on Different Strokes. Dana Plato died and Corey Haim and Corey Feldman had the same problem Drew Berrymore as well. Greedy parents living off their kids' money so sad. People used them and took advantage of them. Hollywood is so evil now and disgusting and celebs are acting like they can do what ever they wanted and when they yell and scream they are on camera or on the phone like Christian Bale, Tom Cruise, Alec Baldwin, Will Smith Wes Anderson, having meltdowns and going off on the crew they get a free pass and nobody cares they just laugh about this. DISGUSTING BEHAVIOR Hollywood is the devil's playground. People are acting crazy now.

Your making out like abuse only goes on in movies! By your logic we should take children out of school, parks and on and on! Abuse happens e everywhere because the people that run the world allow it to happen! You get in more trouble buying drugs or stealing than hurting a and until everyone gets together and demands that any child abuser getcastrated or put on drugs to stop sex drive. We lock up people with mental illness and put them on medication that takes away there drive and personality and life but we help child abusers!! They get help not punished!! It's insane! And there isn't more abuse in Hollywood than anywhere else it's everywhere

Yeah ok even though Feldman was best friends with DB, and continued being his friend Even though he knew what happened to Haim. He then makes a documentary dragging his friends name through the mud. Guess into graffic unnecessary details about how he was rpd. Then Feldman kept his mouth tight lipped about his story. Then when asked if he should keep any profits from the stupid documentary he 100 percent lied about he says, well yeah I should. It did it all for money using his "Best friend" for a pay day. Asking for 10 million dollars to make a movie about it. He couldn't even make a regular movie without it looking like some sleezy Kate night HBO skanky movie. Check it out. If charlie sheen really did something why isn't Feldman out there right now trying to call him out on the daily? Funny how he doesn't talk about sheen anymore. BC FELDMAN IS A LIAR.
