8 years ago I moved to another country with my then wife to support her and start a new life. I stumbled upon this video when I was dealing with being unemployed in a new place and trying to find myself. A little over a year ago that 10 years of marriage came to a sudden end, and I really had a lot of changes in my life at the time. I have always come back to this song and it's lyrics to keep my spirits up and know that I can never surrender no matter how hard life hits. Thank you Corey Hart.

Bat Man I am on a better track this year for sure. Restarting school after a two year break working two jobs to support myself and my now teenage Son. No I haven’t found any women yet. Not easy to find when you don’t even have time for yourself and work all the time. I also kinda don’t mind being single at the moment. I get more done and go at my pace. Plus I don’t care much for the woman here. Too predictable and society has changed while I am still old school in my ways. Besides who said I need a partner in life.

CANCER....a word you never want to here. At 36 the love of my life was told his life had changed, cancer had entered his body. The fight was on. Lindy you are my HERO, never once did you complain or want anyones pitty. Your smile lights up every room you were ever in, You gave it your best fight and made our famillies so proud of the man you are. We all have an empty spot in our hearts, mine is just a little bigger. Never Surrender my love, see you again

I'm sorry to hear you lost your friend. I hope Corey's Never Surrender helps you heal. May your friend Lindy forever be remembered in your heart and mind. Losing a loved one is always very difficult, its the hardest part of life to have to live through. All the best bud.

What a beautiful song to help thru tough times. My partner of 11 wonderful years was called for a higher purpose, he lost his battle to cancer, but he never gave up the fight. Now without him, I feel this song is my anthem. I cant surrender, hes gone but not forgotten, Im still here. As much pain as we all go thru loosing a loved one, we cant surrender. Safe Holidays everyone, Love you Corey Hart :}

Lindy, what an honor it was for me to have been able to spend 11 beautiful years with you. At 36 your life and mine was changed forever. Cancer was a word never in our vocabulary, always the pain someone else had to go thru. One day you were told you had the fight of your life ahead of you, and with our loving famillies we went on a journey to win the battle. Never once did I see you down, sad or full of pity. You woke up everyday and said we would win this together. Never did you surrender. rip

As a teenager when this song came out,I never really listened to the words of this wonderful song. It is very sad how I got wrapped up in so much turmoil and grief over the years. We waste too much time. We are not here that long.

Mark Thomas Aye!, I here you Mark!..I was in high school when this was new and did not notice how many years and full moons would pass, until here on this beautiful cool Florida morning, I would have tears in my eyes as this song is reaching out to my true self..I have done so much to harm myself because I have never forgiven myself for my mistakes..I watched as my father suffered and reached out to me for help as he died..hevwas the nicest man I ever knew..the visions of him suffering has stabbed like a dagger into my mind for years, but somehow as this song played, I can feel him reaching now to pull me from the darkness and let me know that everything is going to be alright, and I can almost see him smiling again...Never Surrender!

The couplet "with a little perseverance you can get things done. WITHOUT A BLIND ADHERENCE THAT HAS CONQUERED SOME" has always been a genius songwriting lyric to me. The whole song swings on that and takes something that could be pollyannish and makes it real, visceral, cautious, something to put in the notebook and take along with you on the journey of life. Maybe the most underrated song of all time.

His voice is amazing and sounds beautiful! I love this unplugged version and each word he sings is so heartfelt. I think an unplugged record would be fabulous as it showcases his voice. He doesn't have to yell out his songs because his regular singing voice is magical. Wow I was lucky to see him in Edm way back in the day but I love that he is singing and playing the piano in this version. I bet he would do great in Los Vegas in his own show.❤ hugs from Vancouver Island
