Little did they know how heavy it would become! Read loads of comments saying has nothing to do with Paul when people started saying R.I.P Paul. It wasn't written for/about Paul, but after his death it because his anthem because he used to sing it in the studio and was the last single released before Paul died. *That's* why it's heavy and Paul's anthem! I miss you Paul. And i miss you too Joey. Slipknot will be the same without you both!

Bury all your secrets in my skin Come away with innocence, and leave me with my sins The air around me still feels like a cage And love is just a camouflage for what resembles rage again So if you love me, let me go. And run away before I know. My heart is just too dark to care. I can't destroy what isn't there. Deliver me into my fate, if I'm alone I cannot hate I don't deserve to have you My smile was taken long ago, if I can change I hope I never know I still press your letters to my lips And cherish them in parts of me that savor every kiss I couldn't face a life without your light But all of that was ripped apart, when you refused to fight So save your breath, I will not care. I think I made it very clear. You couldn't hate enough to love. Is that supposed to be enough? I only wish you weren't my friend. Then I could hurt you in the end. I never claimed to be a saint My own was banished long ago, it took the death of hope to let you go So break yourself against my stones And spit your pity in my soul You never needed any help You sold me out to save yourself And I won't listen to your shame You ran away, you're all the same Angels lie to keep control My love was punished long ago If you still care, don't ever let me know If you still care, don't ever let me know

My take on it is that this is a very deep song for Corey (written about his ex-wife, sometimes dedicating this to Paul etc..) The crowd was just too wrong for this performance, as an audience you're not suppose to scream of joy, shout how sexy he is etc, not during a song like this. That's what happened I suppose
@FEARSWTOR7 жыл бұрын
Rickard Livbom Definitely. Watching it, when he picks back up and you can hear a guy yell "we love you, Paul", it almost feels like he feeds off it. That's the kind of energy a song like this needs.
@scottmackie65236 жыл бұрын
Rickard Livbom Paul gray made this song he sings it because it helps him mend because of Paul's death it's hard for the hole band of slipknot it's even hard for me to listen to because I have issues as well and who doesn't have them but believe what you want or think that's okay it's a great song to let out everything that hurts you and all your frustration and anger and hatred and sadness I used to listen to it because I broke up with the love of my life and I blamed myself because I had anger issues but I sang it to myself not to her because a part of me wanted her back it took 2 years to forgive myself and I found her and we are now engaged and happy but this song still hits me heavy

Yeah we know he didn't write it for him. The guy was alive when it was written and he played bass on it, so yeah it wasn't a tribute to a guy that wasn't dead yet. You don't have any real insight there. The song can still be performed as a tribute after the fact because of the emotions that it brings out. What the hell is so hard about this?
