i fully agree, he is phenomenal! however, "let's build a calculator" is basically how my university structured all their physics problems, and if the problem is intricate enough... well, you're bound to learn something useful about python as well; you can get some pretty tough challenges with that as well! :)

For all those, whose facing an issue while adding test user from admin panel : 1) stop the server 2) delete SQLite DB from project folder 3) Delete Migrations folder from app directory 4) run : python manage.py makemigrations 5) run : python manage.py migrate --run-syncdb 6) create super user again and try adding the new user Hope this will work for you.. if doesn't work try to upgrade or downgrade Django version to 3.0.2 (it should work in your current version as well but just in case) and follow all steps again... It worked for me... :)

That time and energy you spent may seem like a waste now but you'll get to appreciate it later on in life, because you came to learn a lot about your own limits at that time, you tested how much you could do then by yourself with incomplete information and a lot of effort, and probably most importantly you learnt how not to give up. IF ANYONE IS HAVING PROBLEM WITH SERVER CRASHING WHEN GOING TO ADMIN PAGE: pip uninstall django Django 3.x.x has problems with the admin server then pip install django==2.2.11 this version worked fine for me. HAPPY CODING!!!

Would love to see a tutorial on building a custom registration flow using a confirmation email i.e. where the user receives a link via email and must click it to confirm the registration. Thanks for explaining everything so thoroughly thus far. At 8:23, I'm not seeing 'Recent actions' in the sidebar of the 'Authentication and Authorization' part of the Admin page. I could be wrong, but was this feature deprecated (or did I goof)? I followed to the letter your instruction about database migration and creating a superuser, but the breadcrumb sidebar 'My actions' did not show up.

I've had the same issue. Here's what fixed it: pip install django==2.1.5, then makemigrations, migrate, runserver and it worked here.

Note : for some people using GitBash an error will occur when creating a superuser (creation skipped due to not running in TTY) to solve the problem you'll need to add "winpty" before typing python
