Good advice Kev, happened to me this year in Rhodes, phone connected to Turkey on one occasion so charged me. It was only a few pounds so Tesco waived the charge for me 😀

Switch off your Data roaming before you leave the UK and use WiFi when you can 👍

It's all over Europe you get charged for roaming it's because we left the Europe and o2 are the only mobile operators I know who help you out but ee for two weeks costs you about £15 and that includes all of Spain .

Most give you data in eu its just not unlimited.

Happened to me on Dassia beach last year, got charged £15 on O2 but was wise to it this year and disabled auto selection of carrier.
