Was just at a freestyle concert today on Staten Island, NY...didn't know the full lineup until they were announced...well Lulu & Lala mentioned "Temptation" and I said Corina?? I love music from the 1950s until the early 1990s and this is one of the best dance numbers ever made. Some of the best music was made by one hit wonders as this one is. Being a vinyl collector this wasn't issued on a 45 in the USA so I had to have the record store order one from the UK. No way was I not going to have this gem on vinyl. Still have it today.

This song and a few others takes me back to when I was 11 years old at the skating rink. Holding hands with girls and chewing each other's gum. It was an innocent time when we didn't have social media and people weren't so afraid of each other. I feel like these kids that grow up today really miss something important that we took for granted. I feel like we really know what it was like to fall in love in a deep way. This song reminds me of when the future felt so bright that my heart could well up so big that could explode. It invokes my favorite emotion, which is being happy and sad at the same time.

Fantastic and finding this is like finding an old friend. Had the "cassingle" and listened to it nonstop. Still holds up as a great pop track, and one of the best of that decade for sure. Back when I was in college, I was taking an anthropology class that stated on the syllabus that one could submit a presentation as a song. The teacher once lamented that nobody had ever done so...idea light over my head.... I wrote a rough example of one, just to show it could be done..."Temptation" became an overview of genetic change called "Mutation". My teacher about lost it and my classmates loved it.
