I first visited there a Boy Scout, was back many times since, took part in a few regattas...this video is zero in dealing with the history of the island.

Visit island in1965 there were IRISH SPEAKERS then I also had a couple of cattle on the boat taking us to the island - a youth hostel,bird watchers an a pub STAYED UP MOST OF NIGHT IN PUB WITH LOCALS WHO WERE GOIN BACK TO WOTK IN SPAIN I THINK. THIS WAS A VERY POOR VIDEO

Good video but I think l will stay in the city.Too isolated for me.It takes a certain kind of person to live in place like Cape Clear and I'm definitely not a candidate after living in London ,Toronto and New York for the most of my life.I wouldn't be self sufficient enough in a material or in a personal way.I like coffee shops and pubs too much and crowded streets. But I must say I admire people that can live in this kind of environment and if they can handle the isolation maybe they are more content on the average than city dwellers. Having said that ,I think the optimum size for a city is between a quarter and one million people.Dublin is too big for Ireland. London and New York and Paris etc are too big and make people seem insignificant in a certain way .Cork City is a perfect size and the government should send any future excess people to Limerick to spruce the place up a bit!
