See this podcast yeah... major moves happening inshaAllah, the type of podcast we need in today’s society to help the youth see the importance of Islam, because let’s be honest the youth are not always looking up to sheikhs in this day and age so to see people who they actually look up to speaking on the deen and highlighting how important it is can really help shape a persons mindset. May Allah SWT reward everyone involved.

When Allah allows you to see Islam for what it is...the regret....shame and honestly pure guilt Just gives you the drive to be a good Muslim... I am now trying to prey daily and connect with Allah... Islam is a very powerful government on its own, it never bows down to pressure, it remains the same century after century, theres brothers who say I don't need to change my name when I become Muslim, no brothers ,our Muslim identity is in our name, the first time you say your name, people directly respect you as a man and as a Muslim, that is power, let us maintain Muslim names for our children, white parents never give their children African names but move around the country, a black Liam, a black Riley, a black Mason names that don't even have meaning.

I have a question, nobody should take this the wrong way, it's a genuine question. Why do my I see a pattern? The same guys who couldn't behave themselves as kids, who end up getting involved in road life, fail at school, end up in and out of prison, worship material in things and fast money end up being the ones converting and appearing on these podcasts? As with the music industry we seem to gravitate towards people who have lived a road life and give their music mm ore credibility than those who have not made all the mistakes and bad choices. Why do we not see the young Muslims who's faith guided them away from making these mistakes in the first place? When do they get a platform? From the outside looking in, its like you have had to be an ex "badman" to be embraced into Islam and get your voice out on these platforms. When will the ones who their faith and belief kept them away from drugs murder fast money get a platform? I'm seeing lots of podcasts now and it's either ex prisoners talking their life in prison or ex gangsters who have converted to Islam? When will we see stories about good guys who have been good from the start but raised in the same estates? Because there are many who grew up in the exact same places as all these "badmen" but didn't take their path, when will they gets voice?

Brother I think the reason why most man on these type of podcast are for a certain group of people, for example, a young Muslim brother who’s faith guided him away from problems such as gangs, drugs and quick money can’t really relate with most young brothers living in our country Rn. These “ex badmen” have a story that a lot of young and older ppl can relate to and seeing this may stop them from making mistakes that these ppl have made if that makes sense. If I was a brother that was never involved in the street life or anything that’s usual among the lower class of ppl in London or in certain parts of uk and grew up with strong faith and was always around mosques instead of being outside, I wouldn’t be watching a corleone or ard adz podcast most likely Imma be watching a sheikh or a Muslim scholar interview/podcast. I hope what I said made sense and helped a little
@jayabreezy1256

@@nocapakh3556 it made allot of sense but I disagree with you on a few points. I think like with drill music for instsnce, allot of people listening to it, going to the shows and stuff are not necessarily involved in the street life, to some it's a window into what's happening around them. Even allot of one's making music about certain things are not involved to the levels they claim to be. My point is you will be surprised by who tunes into these things I can hand on heart say the majority will not be those who think so at the moment. Also I have to disagree with the point you made making out that the majority of people growing up.in deprived areas are basically criminalised. Some are but my problem is we seem to magnify the minority who do not represent the majority. It almost feels.like to me that young people are being represented by a minority and made to believe you have to of proved yourself down a certain path before you can get representation on other paths. Like you said, you cannot make it to some platforms because it's felt it won't appeal to others. To me it becomes a self fulfilling prophecy. These videos are good but trust me they reach a far wider audience than you think, but give the impression to me that you need to have been a gangster to be welcomed into the fold.

Because the kids in the streets that are on the wrong path need to be told from people that have already lived that life why it isn’t worth it. Also these people have a big influence and the misguided youngsters look up to them and want to be like them. So the youth need to hear it straight from the people who have lived it and left it.

I totally respect Islam and like many aspects of the reglion, as I do about Christianity. However I dont beleive you need a reglion to be a better person. I do beleive there is something bigger than us and I do pray to God but ultimately it isnt reglion making me do this but the fact that being a good person is the correct way to live. It feels good being good. Now if it is reglion which makes you turn your life around and become a good person than blessings to you. I believe that essentially the religious texts are really just instructions on how to be a good person and live a good life. The most important thing I believe people need to be aware of is karma and what many people call the law of attraction. Thoughts become things and if you do not actively take control of your thoughts then ulitmately, unless your life is just so amazing you dont have worry, then you are subject to your worries, angrer etc. The law of attraction teaches you to gtake control of your thoughts when things are going bad and steer them in a positive direction. You would also use visualisation and positive mantras to plan and envisage what you what for your future thus creating it. All reglious texts tell us about such things, quotes in the bible that we may overlook as just words are telling us how powerful we are, quotes like "ask and it shall be given", “And all things, whatsoever you shall ask in prayer, believing, you shall receive", “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours", “Ask, and it shall be given to you; seek, and you shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you", “The Kingdom of Heaven is within", “If thou can believe, all things are possible, to him that believeth", do not take these words lightly and learn about such things. You can transform your life. Blessings and good luck my friends.

Could you please explain how we can be a good person without Islam? I.e what are the objective characteristics of a ‘good’ person
@MarkWalmsley
@MarkWalmsley 3 жыл бұрын
@@ItzAGeneralChannel Looking after your family, being selfless, helping people in need, not hurting people physically or mentally (cheating on parterns, playing with people who you know you are more intelligent that). I'm not sure if this was a sarcastic reply but if not and you dont know how to be a good person then I hope this helps you. The bible and other religious texts all give us a blueprint to not only be a good person but also explain how to manifest reality. If you want more informaiton on that I would be happy to help you.
@ItzAGeneralChannel
@ItzAGeneralChannel 3 жыл бұрын
@@MarkWalmsley It wasn’t a sarcastic comment brother, I was merely trying to point out the fact that without communication with the creator, there is no objective definition of ‘good’. What’s seen as good by society changes depending on the agenda that is being pushed forward. For example, if someone was to have sex before marriage 100 years ago, this was frowned upon, but nowadays it is completely normal. Thus, we need an objective compass of morality sent down to us by the creator rather than a perception of good and bad that is dictated by society according to their whims, desires and agendas. I hope you understand, and if you have any questions about Islam feel free to let me know.
@MarkWalmsley
@MarkWalmsley 3 жыл бұрын
@@ItzAGeneralChannel No worries my friend I understand what you mean. I think what I laid out as being a good person is pretty agreeable to most, regardless of whether they follow it or not. I have not lived a perfect life but at the same time I not lived too bad. Now I am older I make sure to constantly try to be as good a person as I can based on the things I have said. We are never perfect but we can aways try to be better.
@ItzAGeneralChannel
@ItzAGeneralChannel 3 жыл бұрын
@@MarkWalmsley Yes brother you’re right, one thing I would say though is try to establish a connection with your creator, we are limited beings and we need his guidance to know right from wrong. Things that were considered wrong 50 years ago are now encouraged and vice versa, thus we need objective moral guidelines to keep us on the straight path, and the only one worthy of deciding what’s right and wrong or good and bad is our creator. Throughout history our creator has sent prophets to inform us of our purpose and give us guidance on how to live our life, there is only one preserved religion which is islam and there is only one preserved holy book which is the quran. Although we believe in Jesus, abraham, moses and all the prophets, The prophet muhammad saw was the only prophet who came with a message to the whole of mankind, research Islam and i’m sure you will come to the same conclusion as many people have come to, it is the final religion revealed by God and it is perfectly intact from 1400 years ago, it provides the ideal way for one to live their life and achieve paradise in the hereafter.
