In everyone’s growth process, there is always an unforgettable experience. Each time you return to your maternal grandmother’s home in the countryside, you can have the freshest fruits and vegetables, free-range chickens and ducks, native eggs, and top-quality ham specially kept. Zhang Jun is my nephew. During this month of his holiday, he eats various kinds of food from morning to night. Whatever he wants to eat, I cook for him. He has gained some weight. When he goes back home, the trunk is filled with food. Seeing him, I seem to see myself when I stayed in my grandmother’s home. May our happiness be as simple and pure as a child's.

yeah especially when you're in college, after school days, when weekend/vacation comes you'll get to chit chat and do fun activities you've been longing to do with them again, laugh with them. memories you want to experience again and again and again. Activities that don't require modern technology, only with nature.Things that most kids nowadays don't appreciate or don't have. Lucky with these two kids for having a sister/aunt like Dianxi and a supportive community they have, they got to experience the province life on the highest level 😊

Loved the corn baba, its similar to what we call Tamales in the Latino/Mexican communities. We make a masa/dough that in many cases is not sweetened from ground up corn, we add spices, spread the masa on moistened corn husk, then we add fillings of either pork,beef,refried beans,fruits, chicken, basically any combination, then the masa and meat filled husk is folded onto itself and steamed for 30 minutes to an hour. In the past when my grandmothers from both sides were alive, we would have what we called TAMALADAS which was a weekend dedicated to family coming together to make tamales. It was almost like a production line, everyone had different task, when your a kid its making sure the dried corn leaves are put in the buckets of water and they are made supple, as you get older you get to spread the masa in the husk, then when older you add the filling cause by then you know the right filling to masa ratio. The men were usually the ones who cooked and prepped the meat that was the filler. One year my Abuela Tanguma wanted BRISKET, so my dad and two of his four brothers ended up on a saturday staying overnight at my grandparents to slow cook three FIFTEEN LBS briskets low and slow in the smoker in my grandparents backyard where we held family get togethers (Dad was oldest of seven before he passed).

What beautiful memories you guys are making❤️ Your family is abundantly rich in things that money cannot buy. Your videos always remind me of when I was small and the internet was not a thing yet and we all huddled over bon fires and meals & enjoyed each other. This corn baba reminds me of sweet corn tamales that we always ate as children as well, I still eat them with coffee. They are the best.

这集也让我想起我的童年。跟妈妈去乡下探望姑奶奶，也就是我妈妈的姑姑。她也总是做一大堆好吃的食物，我也在乡间领略到城市没有风景，漫山遍野的奔跑，在院子里捡母鸡下的溜达蛋，去池塘捉蝌蚪，第一次发现身型肥大的母鸡原来在翅膀下藏着孵出的小鸡，下雨的时候第一次顶着斗笠听着雨水噼里啪啦，深一脚浅一脚的在泥路里走….去年听说姑奶奶已经去世了……我知道童年是再也回不去了…..

I watch every video but today This was such a heart warming one,never stoped smiling in this whole vdo,felt emotionally attached, remembered my childhood holidays in my grandparents house,felt like crying idk why.Jun is blessed that he spent his holidays here & he collected a memory which will always be remembered. When Ahao,Jun will grow up they will be able to say, ❝I've lived the happiest life❞.

I'm so glad you remade this corn baba video. My mum and I both enjoyed it and wanted to try the simple recipe ourselves here in London.
