I don't have much interest in new tractors. These old girls don't take long to pay for themselves . Thanks

I had the rope for the swing hitch, on the haybine, tied to the seat, it hooked the pto, and almost pulled the seat off! That sure woke me up !

Wow, I bet it did 😳. Really show a person just how fast a catastrophe can happen with those pto's

Good to see the feed piling up. I could watch corn getting pulled into a Kemper head all day. Wonderful invention.

I had one of those cables wrapped around the shaft too. That'll be nice having the Case available for other things. Looks like you scored on the chopper for the most part. 🍻🍻🍻🍻

Silage, earlage, and snaplage are all products made from corn that differ in the amount of the plant that is included: Silage Made from the entire corn plant, usually starting about 6 inches above the ground Earlage Similar to snaplage, but typically doesn't include the husk and has little of the shank Snaplage Includes the entire ear of corn, including the husk, cob, grain, and part of the shank

Man yeah!!! Loved every min of it!! Anxious to hear, did the hydraulics work out on the comfort king? Wouldn't be normal without breakdowns would it 🤦🏼 Hopefully the worm/mold issue worked itself out, I remember that last year😳 Man that was a pucker moment I'm sure on the cable deal 😳😳😳 I would LOVE to see any video on the parking paw repair 😉😉 Glad things went well and the process was alot quicker worh the new chopper and head. Thank you Matt for bringing us along, look fwd to seeing some rye and corn stalk bales!! Hope things are going well my friend!! 😁😁🇺🇲🇺🇲👌🏻👌🏻🌽🌽🌽🌾🌾🍻🍻🍻🍻

I totally understand why you have so many tractors. I've got an uncle who always told me you are better off having 5 or 6 old tractors than one new one. If you have one new one and it breaks down you are done for the day. If you have several older ones you just grab another tractor and keep going. Makes perfect sense when you think about it
@hartungdairyfarm07132 ай бұрын
It sure does. I also like that I can actually fix these old tractors instead of having to call a service tech with a computer to figure out what's wrong with them

Good to see the new chopper in action. Just curious how many acres of snaplage did u do?. Do u do enough for the whole year?
@hartungdairyfarm07132 ай бұрын
I did just about 20 acres, it probably will only last until late spring. I'd love to put up enough for the year if I had enough crop ground . Thanks
@keithrobinson13312 ай бұрын
Maybe I missed why you need the weights on the back of the chopper?
@hartungdairyfarm07132 ай бұрын
In some of my fields, you have to go downhill and turn a corner , the wagons really like to push the back end of the chopper if it's not weighted down good. 🍻🍻🍻🍻

Why is the corn being chopped so high off the ground ?
@hartungdairyfarm07132 ай бұрын
Depends on what you're asking about. The part where the corn head was way up was when we were making snaplage. We only take the ears off when we do that. Also when we were making silage, we ended up cutting a little high because we hadn't gotten a feel for the height of the Kemper head yet. We've got it dialed in pretty good now
