I was able to get 18 rows around by 38 kernels long... by dropping my plant pop to 29k...and only 2 applications of Roundup and no fungicide or insecticide or micro...if I go to 32k I almost always end up with 14 to 16 rows by 35...

With NCGA numbers out now can someone please explain how that is even possible? Math doesn't lie and I don't see anyway that is even possible. Regardless of test weight, irrigation, or whatever else you want to say there is no way. If I am wrong than please explain it show the math and I want to see it in the field. If any of this is legit you need to show it to other growers around and quit with the shadow game stuff. I like the show and have always watched but this just seems so unrealistic that you owe it to the industry to prove it. You don't have to tell how you did it, but with the money involved an independent 2nd & 3rd party should be used to harvest, haul and verify. 300 bu is one thing but 600 plus now that is just hard to believe.

15 inch rows helps. but i wonder if there trying to get to much out of the ground which will hurt them in the long run.

The Corn Warriors use the latest machinery, biotechnology, and run frequent tests on tissue samples to determine precise decisions in their crop management.

Instead of spending a bunch of money on making more bushels you could try to spend as little as possible and make what it makes and see witch way makes more money and bushels

Well, they have to cover their bills, and every year has different Inputs. It makes it a gamble every year. The only real constant is the better crops you have the more money you have. Basically farming has a formula. High yield = > $ and > $ = 😀

The reason it got real quiet in 2020 and 2021....54k plant pop on irrigation is great...but without rain...thin stalks, tip off and corn blown over...it's a gamble.

Looks like all of these guys are working on the expand or die model. To many acres to get the seed in the ground on time to many to get the harvest in optimal condition. 4 hours sleep a night during harvest is a major accident waiting to happen. Not one of them looks happy farming. Small diversified farm, live a happy healthy life.
