I’m with ya too, Mike! The first video that popped up was AB’s recipe. I’m making this TODAY!, LOL. He makes it easy, and very easy to follow. The only time I eat corned beef is a couple months around March when corned beef goes on sale. I think I’m gonna get me a couple more and freeze them for later during the year. AB makes it easy so, what the heck, why not! I do have to admit, though, when he opened this video with his comment about his previous recipe on southern fried cabbage, he had already had my attention! Thanks AB! I’m a new member! Can’t wait to see the rest of your videos. I’m a big guy so his videos are great for me!

I'm famous around here for my corned beef. What I do is take 4 -6 cups of water depending upon size of the meat and place in large stock pot. I then add 3 tablespoons of pickling spice to the water and bring to a boil and do so for app 5 minutes then I lower to simmer for one hour. I then strain the water to gather all the small spice pieces out of the stock I have made and return to the pot. Then I place the meat and add one med size onion at that time bring to a boil then lower to simmer for no less than 4 hours. I then add carrots. I now use baby carrots as they are fast and bite sized and I love carrots cooked with the meat and this spicy stock so I will always do at least 4 lbs worth. Once carrots are about half way cooked I add potatoes and a prepared veggie stock about 4 cups worth and bring back to a boil then simmer till potatoes are done. I then removed all meat and veggies from pot place in covered pan to a warm oven as I then add my cabbage and another onion to the stock and and cook such till tender about 30 minutes or there about. Serve with butter and horseradish having medium heat to it.

Literally just got done eating dinner on st Patrick’s day using this recipe. I’ve personally never cooked corned beef n cabbage before but I’ve had it several times/ways. Holy moly was this the BEST I’ve ever had in my life (50) my wife was skeptical about the carrots and bay leaves but I’ll be damned if she didn’t go back for seconds! Ty for the level up and I’ll never eat it any other way again!

Hey AB, huge fan of yours . I've been doing St. Patrick's Day CnB for the past 15 years at my house. I do 15 lbs every year. 1 year I did 3 different kinds. They were boiled, baked and crock pot. I split them up and had everyone take a piece from each. Everyone at the Table picked the boiled one as being the best tasting, without telling them which one was cooked a different way. The One baked was way too salty, the one in the crock pot was not as tender and the one in the water was the biggest hit. I see all these people trying to invent new ways to cook it on KZbin, nothing beats the way it was meant to happen. 4 hours simmering, last hour, cabbage potatoes and carrots.
