A smile doesn't always mean happiness (think of fake smiles) and everyone shows their emotions their way. This is to say that I'm sure they love dancing and they're enjoying themeselves, even though they don't smile all the time, but only sometimes. Plus, they are very classy and elegant dancers, so I think that a more serious and intense expression on their faces suits better their style :)
