Their other big hit was "Treat Her Like a Lady" which is equally smooth, charming and catchy.

Yes, that was their third single and it was a modest hit (#23). They faded out after that. Hard to top their first two singles which went to #3 ("Treat Her Like a Lady") and #2 ("Too Late to Turn Back Now")..

At the dentists office today. The music was a mix of eras but I noted nearly all the new(er) songs had no real Bass lines & the drums or beats were just there for service. There was no real groove/feel to anything. It leaves the sings just flat sounding.

I was just eight years old when this song came out in 1972. I loved it then and I love it now. There's just something about this song that I can't put my finger on, but it's one of my favorite songs of all time. In fact, it may very well be my favorite song. I could listen to it over and over again and never get sick of it.

Nice! Great song to get stuck in your head for the day. It got stuck in mine way back when and I was in kindergarten or first grade. The chorus is very catchy and radio stations ate the song up for several years in the early to mid-seventies. The violins and the vocal harmonies suggest the easy-listening music of that era, but that bass line and the drum work keeps it in the groove, that classic early seventies soul groove. Cornelius Brothers & Sister Rose are siblings without a known relation to Don Cornelius of Soul Train fame.

This is called Soul music! Soul music is sweet with ZERO vulgarity! It always brings forth a positive message. A message of love and respect for one another! The musicianship, the musical arranging writing and composing is the best! Check out Bobby Womack with one of his many hits "Thats the way I feel about cha"

Boy , I could tell you was really getting into this song and feeling the groove and the message of the song. This is one of my favorite R&B songs. I love the message I love the guy singing there. I love his voice and he's a really good guy. After they quit being in the group, he became a preacher and he's got a great message. They still do their music once in a while. But like I said he's a preacher now. And he's a really great song. They've got another song called treater like a lady which is also pretty good.

1972 was my favorite year in music and those are all great songs. Brandy was the first record I ever bought. Looking Glass also had a moderate hit the next year with Jimmy Loves Mary-Anne which I like even more. Yeah, I love the music from that era. I'm definitely a 70s kid.

The 70's had great songs. I was ending high school and was in my dancing days, great memories. I grew up with R & B music but I also enjoy all genre's. Music keeps me going and I have been known to still shake a leg at celebrations. Thank you, for listening to the older music and bringing back happy thoughts. Love your reactions. 🎤🦀🔥🫶

One very forgettable day, I was being really cocky & adventurous and thought that I could successfully jump off a very high cliff. Half-way down I changed my mind. It was then that I heard my inner voice say: ("It's too late to turn back nowwwww!!!!"). I can't believe I actually survived.... Now I know that cartoons are true.

This so brings me back. Must have been early 72 as we were still in Boston. My uncle would drive us to school and this would be on the radio a lot. What a wonderful soul song and it's so interesting how the music of the mid-late 60s carried over to the early 70s.

This is one of the most powerful songs in history in attracting your true love , and it looks like your about to be ready , it will still take time though but you crossed the threshold and you will get there because there is no turning back now , I'll pray that it will get rushed because eveyone women and man needs to meet their true halfs. I know , I'm a expert on this. God Bless !!!!
