How I Put My Hair Topper in an Updo (Tutorial from Front AND Back!)

Several of you have asked how I do my updos, so today I'm showing you how I do it...from the front and the back (P.S. from the back is super-helpful!).

Because a hair topper can be heavy and pull on fragile bio hair, this style great because it's held close to your head...therefore pulling less on your own hair.
This is basically the ONLY updo that I do with my hair toppers. I'm pretty much a wash-and-wear girl with no interest in styling (haha), so I keep it pretty simple and use this as my go-to.
What I'm wearing: Top Secret by Jon Renau in 10H16.

When you do use glue do you apply it to your skin or on your bio hair. Thank you

As much skin as possible but because I still have (crappy) hair it gets on it, too. No problem at all.

You have to start combing from bottom not the top down.

I've had pretty good luck with most parts, but simply plucking out 1-2 hairs at a time can be very beneficial! For the hairline, I have two videos. I'm only 24 years old and suffering crazy hairloss after surgeries. My hair never fully recovers. I do see your message. :) My favorite site to buy from is www.wigsbypattispearls.com/ - she offers both human and synthetic hair. I tend to get most of my synthetic hair from there. For human hair, it really just depends on budget. Uniwigs can make for good starter pieces. I know what you mean about the reviews as they seem hit or miss. The pieces I've received have been fine from them. Fortune Wigs (www.fortunewigs.com/) also makes toppers at a decent price point (they also list some on Amazon) but they tend to be a lot of hair. Going back to www.wigsbypattispearls.com/ and other sites, you could also look at Jon Renau's easiPart as it comes in both heat-friendly synthetic and human hair, and in a smaller piece and a mid-size piece. That will probably give you the biggest bang for your buck. And I do NOT get any kickback or sponsorship from Patti, but if you buy a Jon Renau piece from her site and use cope "hopeandmane" you can take 25% off.

Have two 16 inch from uniwig very nice, price reasonable. Sometimes if lucky there you can find clearance ones I got nice one for 150.00.
