All of last offseason we talked about knowing that JSN was going into a situation in Seattle where he would get limited targets due to his situation in the WR room. We said that if you're drafting JSN that it's not for his year 1 production, its for his long term upside. Now we are acting surprised that he didn't put up massive numbers year 1? We all knew that would happen and we are so quick to forget that he didn't play the entirety of his junior year due to injury, which clearly delayed his development too. The draft reasoning and rhetoric around him seems to be forgotten.

there’s levels to bad situations. london’s teams have had historically low passing volume along with backup (AT BEST) QB play. he’s had a 30% target share as a 21 and 22 year old, and has somehow been startable despite having everything stacked against him. all he needs is more passing attempts and more accurate targets and he’s a perennial WR1. he’s still he’s only 22, and even though he was in the same draft class, he’s over a year younger than garrett wilson and chris olave. he was the WR1 of that class the day of the draft, and imo that hasn’t changed since then. i can respect if you prefer wilson or olave, but having london a tier below is disrespectful

@@toddcrabtreejr.8167 london is the same age or younger than the 2023 rookies. and despite that we’ve seen very similar, if not better production from london compared to wilson and olave when you look at what each of them dealt with and adjust accordingly. i think i would prefer wilson and london over olave, and it’s a pick your poison between london and wilson. i’m personally taking london.

Just a quick thought about Rice. You have to believe the reason he fled was so that he could claim that he wasn't the driver. He'll probably have a buddy try to take the fall for him if any of his injuries aren't specifically similar to that of a car driver. It reminds me of another KC receiver who had his wife lie about his child abuse so that he could get a massive pay day. In both cases there weren't suspensions. Texas police do have a pretty good record of turning blind eyes when athletes are involved. It sucks, because there is no way Rice is letting one of his buddies drive that car, nor would he allow them to race in that car. But enough neckbearda will believe him just like they believed Tyreek. It's also possible/plausible that Rice was intoxicated which again would be the reason he would want to distance himself from the crash. I hope the NFL comes down hard on him but I don't have faith in the system to pass the bullshit test.

Do a real deep dive on Nico in 2022... he was ELITE on a per play basis with literally the worst qb in nfl history. Next year CJ is going to throw for 4500 and 35 TD. Nico nabbing 110/1500/12 is easy to project

I’m rebuilding and basically have no QBs. I have #1, #5, #11, and 1st pick in second round. Obviously Caleb with first pick. Should I go best available with #5? Super flex league. Basically. I’mtrying to decide between best available that falls to me at #5 and take QB with 11th OR reach and take another QB at #5?

If there is a first rd QB there you have to take them if you have no QBs imo. Don't reach though, try and trade back or trade up if you need to. Depending on league settings I would be fine moving 1.5+1.11 for 1.3, unless it's a start 11 or 12.

Most important is to not assign specific players, or even positions, to draft picks yet. Let the process play out up to your draft. Also, if you feel trade activity is high enough, you should always take the highest valued player in a rookie draft. Don't wildly reach for a perceived need just to fill out your lineup. You should be able to trade for any needs that arise prior to the season.

Mclaurin is going to skyrocket once WAS drafts a qb. 1k yards with turf toe and a shitty OC. Yeah he's going to have more upside than last year. JD will get more 1st downs and give more scoring opportunities. I won my season last year! Mclaurin will be the next Mike Evans - book it!

Evans isn't on some kind of pedestal, he's great, though. But the point is 1k+ yards for many many years in a row with the same franchise. You're blind as hell if you don't see the direct comparison. Mclaurin right now is like Evans pre-Brady. Wake up lol. Mclaurin is to WAS as Evans is to Tampa. It's that simple. So he should always be top 30 in the future as long as he plays and WAS offense isn't dead last like it has been anymore... You're acting like I said he should be top 10, I'm saying at bare minimum he's top 30. Not even a hot take. He's not had good enough quarterbacking to get above top 20. Heinicke was his best quarterback by a longshot and the offense was capped by terrible OL play for years so the qbs struggled getting the ball to him. I doubt Evans ever was doing much before Brady, either. Context matters. He's going to kill it with JD/Caleb. Ya'll said the same shit about Mostert last year, and BRob, meanwhile I won my league lol. I know sleepers when I see one. Mclaurin's ceiling is nothing less than a monster: Scary Terry is gonna be back with a vengeance. Simply put, he's NEVER had the opportunity to reach it. No one has had more qbs than him the past several years, no one.

You're not alone using the "bad QB play for Olave" and I think it's garbage. It is true that Carr struggled at times early in the year, but he hit the accelerator after their week 11 bye with 15 TDs against 4 Ints to go with 1,600+ yards. Is it possible that he was finding his rhythm with a new team early on and should be just fine this year? I would bet on this. Carr has always been a competent QB who is capable of supporting a 1,000 WR.

DRAFT PICKS ARE SO OVERRATED. just look at dynasty rookie drafts rom the past 5 years. a top 5-10 pick could've gotten you a Chase or Jefferson, sure. But you're just as likely to get: Quinten Johnson, Treylon Burks, Jameson Williams, Najee Harris, Kyle Pitts, Javonte Williams, Trevor Lawrence, Clyde Edwards Helaire, Cam Akers, Jerry Jeudy, Keshawn Vaughn, JK Dobbins, Henry Ruggs, Miles Sanders, N'Keal Harry, Parris Campbell, Mecole Hartman, Derrius Guice, Sony Michel, Rashaad Penny, Royce Freeman, Ronald Jones, Kerryon Martin. If you have MULTIPLE top 5 picks you're probably okay. But to even look at the 1.01 and say that's the same thing as Amon-Ra St. Brown is insane. Everybody's hyped on hype.

I don't think the talent is a whole lot different yeah jsn is more talented but his situation brings his value down tremendously. Reed isn't as talented but still is talented and is in a much better situation for years to come. Jan could be a beast by year 3 but I don't think he's gonna be that much better in year 2
