The book of Lamentations is a book that “laments” the destruction of Jerusalem in 586B.C. by the Babylonians. Lamentations describes the tragic and terrible results of a people who rejected God-a people who refused to turn FROM their idolatry and sin and turn TO God. The consequences for their sin were devastating. But in the middle of all the sin and destruction and devastation emerges a passage from Chapter 3 about the love, mercy, compassion, and faithfulness of God! When we realize our own sinful condition and how it can leave us feeling discouraged, bitter, discontent, and distant from God, it’s important to remember that we can run to a God who is loving, compassionate, merciful, and faithful. And Lamentations 3:23 reminds us that all those qualities about God are new every morning! In other words, every day is a new day and another chance with the Lord! Whatever might be your past-whether yesterday or years ago-there is a fresh batch of God’s love, mercy, and compassion for you today.

I woke up this morning prayed to to the Father in Jesus name after my prayer I kept hearing Lamination in my mind I opened up my Bible and it opened up directly to the book of Lamenationsand keep in mind its 5 chapters no way I could of opened it up on the first try God is good keep faith all of you in Jesus Mighty name

Great preaching, yet again, on Lamentations. Thank you. However, when people come to the front to confess and receive God's forgiveness and compassion, please allow that to be a private thing, it does not need to be included in the world wide broadcast when people may be identifiable.

Jesus called people publicly. There is no better thing than to witness a person publicly declaring their decision to step forward and choose to follow Jesus. People all over the world need to hear and know the truth, and seeing someone go forward to make the most important decision of their life might give another lost soul the extra boost of courage they needed. "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek." - Romans 1:16 Also, the angels in heaven rejoice over even one lost soul... just ONE. So if you can imagine how gloriously noisy it is in Heaven when one lost sinner repents, why should it not be a celebration down here on earth as well? 😊❤

Solomon lived nearly 400 years before the destruction of Jerusalem in 586BC.
