Each instrument has their own unique sound and touch the heart in their own way. Relax and enjoy this bautiful music. Playing music is like building a house. You have a blue print to follow but you get to choose everything else that makes it a home. These fine musicians have learned to do more than play black notes on white paper. They play in COLOR.

All sound good. I have a vintage cornet I play as my main horn. It was in rough shape, but I brought it back to life. No one around me seems to notice including the director.

the euphonium has a more plaintive sound, the cornet a brighter sound and the flugel somewhat morose! All three are well rendered and quite beautiful

I am a Euphonium player and I think the mellow tone gives the edge but all are great.

Ok...tough call...but expressively...the euphonium was the best OVERALL sound!!! 😊 ( yes...I play the euphonium, trumpet, cornet and fluegalhorn over 40 years also...very partial to Besson...lol)

The flugel Horn was recorded with mic to far off axis giving a to dark of sound. SAme for the Euphonium. Its like blankets were placed over the two instruments. If weren't for that would have been my choice. But for that I will go with the Coronet. MAybe if you would have chosen a English baryton a a Wagnarian horn I would made different choice. Te euphonium to have the best dynamic interpretation.
